Kwamina and Mabel are two children living in Accra but come from strikingly different backgrounds. Apart from being neighbours on the same street, they do share one thing in common – both have had to deal with harsh and traumatic experiences in their young lives. Kwamina is a village boy sent to the city to pursue a better education but has had to deal with the unpleasant behaviour of his difficult aunt. Mabel from a well-to-do family has never really recovered from the loss of her close friend in tragic circumstances. Both of them however have to put their problems aside as they are suddenly thrust involuntarily into a mysterious journey that transcends from Accra to Canada with a mystical parallel universe caught in the middle. Are these dreams, hallucinations... or are they real? They really do not know – all they know is that if they are to escape this nightmarish voyage they must find an elusive woman called Sola. And time doesn’t seem to be on their side.
