Following a brief introduction to Nell at her home on Galiano Island's rugged north coast, an unexpected telephone call brings her a strange new assignment. She is urgently required on the site of a multi-million dollar astrophysics laboratory in Sudbury, Ontario. The facility, located deep in an abandonned nickel mine, is being subtly sabotaged by a member of an elite scientific community -- and it's Nell's job to figure out who.
