This second edition of The Phoenix's Guide To Self Renewal, is sure to hit home with anyone who has had to deal with the feelings and emotions caused by excessive weight. The ten short chapters are very motivational and inspirational. The author touches your heart with her realizations and honest feelings in regard to her own weight, while energizing you with her positive outlook. The Phoenix's Guide To Self Renewal was originally designed for the author¿s own use but was published due to the large local demand for the book. Originally published as a spiral bound book, which the author manufactured by hand (now a collector¿s item) and then re-issued as a comb bound paperback, it is now available as a revised second edition trade paperback with three months of daily journaling space. Each journal day in the previous releases included a blank journal page on the left and on the right a log for food intake and exercise headed with an motivational quote. The basic setup is the same in this version because it works. The past reviews for The Phoenix¿s Guide To Self Renewal were very positive, however, there were a few complaints as well. Now we know that we can¿t please everyone, but we have taken the formatting comments into consideration in the revised second edition. We also want to reiterate that this book is a journal that has ten motivational chapters. This IS NOT a weight loss program. While the author has stated what she did to lose weight, this is not a diet plan. We recommend that you contact your physician prior to beginning any weight loss program.
