Painted dogs are nomadic animals with strong family bonds; however, their populations are declining as they face a number of threats to their survival. After seeing painted dogs at a zoo, Tammy was instantly drawn to this species, with their large ears, mottled coats, and long legs. Her master's degree in Wildlife Science focused on painted dog enrichment in US zoos, and her fascination with this species continues as she researches human-painted dog interactions for her PhD in Environmental Studies. Tammy's goal is to raise awareness and make a positive difference, not only for painted dogs, but for wildlife and human everywhere. All proceeds from the sale of this book will support painted dog research and conservation.
