One evening on a quiet west coast beach, an Indigenous shaman is viciously beaten and his teepee is burned to the ground. Outraged, the community demands answers. As Constable Julie Morneau investigates the crime, she crosses paths with three siblings in foster care. Jimmy, the eldest, has gone missing, but Jonathan and Lisa, the younger two, eventually admit to being at the scene.

The crown prosecutor is eager to make an example of Jonathan, who faces charges of assault and a heavy punishment. But when the shaman wakes from his coma, he doesn’t place the blame on the children—instead, he forgives and embraces them, showing them a different path to take in their lives. A path of empathy and acceptance, and of love for the land, which ultimately leads them to fight for the environment in a world where money is king.

But as corporate interests and social prejudices work against them, will they be able to achieve their goals and reconcile with a ghost from their past?
