JC Collins who heads UNIVERSAL DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION and FAMOUS RECORDS is also currently senior Business Consultant for several Major Artists & Entertainment Companies.Educated in England, he majored in Music & Economics. Following stints running an Agency and booking well known acts such as Joe Cocker, Moody Blues, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Lonnie Donegan and Dusty Springfield and managing soul singer Donnie Elbert and the Warren Davis Monday Band he began building a chain of retail record stores and a wholesale distribution company throughout the 1970's & early 80's, he also began producing recording artists and developed his first record labels: ECHO RECORDS & VISTA SOUNDS made up mostly of Reggae Albums. This vocation brought him together with more internationally known artists & producers, not only in Europe & Jamaica but also in the USA, where, in 1983 he set up an office & recording studio in Englewood, New Jersey.From this base he was able to successfully work with the likes of: - BOOGIE DOWN PRODUCTIONS / KRS-ONE, G-DEP, FATHER MC, GRAVEDIGGAZ, BRENDA K. STARR, COLONEL ABRAMS, READY FOR THE WORLD, CHILL ROB G., WU-TANG CLAN Members, SUNZ OF MAN, POSITIVE K., RAM SQUAD and a host of other artists that obtained "major label recording deals" with MCA, JIVE, KOCH, and others. His book "A Life Full of Music" explains how his love of music has kept him in the Music Industry for the last 60+ years!
