A chronological outline of the life of Jonathan Leak, one of the earliest Australian potters. Deals with the day-to-day operation of his pottery following his arrival in Australia in 1819. Research for the book includes such sources as a colonial secretary's letter, convict records, a private memorial letter, a directory listing and a newspaper cutting. Appendix 1 contains letters written either by Leak or about Leak. Appendix 2 contains a computer generated copy of the original conditional pardon issued by Governor Darling in 1828. Includes a bibliography.
