Manila Fortuna is a fictionalised Travelogue which describes Manila through the eyes of previous explorers and through the liaisons and romantic relationships of the narrator of this semi-fictionalised story of the City and its people. But the special twist to this story is the conditional status of its veracity, for Manila culture embodies tsismis, a peculiar Filipino form of rumour, consequently this story is ambiguously real and make-believe.
