The author argues the COVID-19 pandemic has 'ripped the band-aid off the deep wounds in our education systems', laying bare issues such as inadequacies of one-size-fits-all school reforms: inadequate school financing for vulnerable communities and children; and a dramatic need for more collaboration among education, health and social agencies, to effectively reach and teach children.
