I'm taking an unbiased and overt approach with the "soul" purpose to equip, encourage, and empower poor people in Portland that I meet as I go. Poor people can include Presidents, PHDs, Pastors, the employed and the opulent. We are all poor in some areas. "Find a quiet place, and read only this book. Believe all that it says, follow each command and your life will be transformed." Imagine saying that to a stranger after handing him a Bible. Now, imagine if he followed your advice. And what if that's the only thing he did for the next year? What if he did NOTHING but read the Bible you gave him? He didn't watch TV. He didn't go to church. He didn't go to the movies. He didn't listen to the radio. He didn't ask anyone to explain to him what he was reading. He didn't even access the internet. What if all he did was simply read the Bible and asked the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to him? What could happen? What might he discover?
