Private Investigator Wayne Davis receives an urgent phone call from his boyhood friend. His friend never makes it to a meeting with him. Wayne leaves for Lubbock, Texas to find him, only to learn of his death. This takes him to a few dead ends and some lucky clues, and even a threat of death, that will eventually lead him to the killer.
