Written for the 1-term Survey of Economics course for non-majors, this brief text focuses on teaching students the economic way of thinking. A basic choice model is developed early in the book and then applied throughout, teaching students a model of inquiry for their own use. Includes discussion of timely real-world economic issues, such as health care, welfare reform, and environmental awareness. Also includes an appendix on using the Internet to access economic information as well as Web addresses for economic games, simulations, and data sets.
