A two hander, the play introduces us to Mike Meadows, a man who has just been left at the altar. Fat, forty and jilted, he feels that life is pretty rubbish. With his girlfriend gone and a huge hole where the wedding once was, he desperately needs to find a new sense of purpose. So when he comes across a discarded 'Stella' can littering a country lane, how could he possibly imagine what it could lead to?
The play is a tour-de-force for two skilled actors and a creative treasure trove for the experienced director.
As the play's motto goes: "Every problem has its cause. Every cause has its champion... Come along for a 'rubbish' night out!"
Litter Hero premiered in the Vesta Tilley Studio at the Swan Theatre, Worcester as a co-production between MalvernBard and The Worcester Repertory Company.
