A mystical and whimsical tale of the comings and goings of all the residents in this enchanting garden, extending outwards into the plants, upwards into the sky, and downwards into the soil... from the cottage at the heart of things, where the Girl and Pellet Gun Pete live, surrounded by the creatures and their habitats, and the adventures (and misadventures) that befall them all, under the great African sky. To enter this world is to step through a portal into a world of connectedness, of all beings, of all growing things, and to hear the promptings of the earth, and witness nature at work (and play!)... Twenty-five years ago, Anita Bunn moved to a little farm cottage in the middle of the Stellenbosch vineyards, with a towering mountain range on one side, and the mighty Indian Ocean just minutes away. She immediately set about planting a diverse selection of trees, vegetables, shrubs and flowers. Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, a pet lamb – and later a parrot and many rabbits – joined the family habitat. She met Pellet Gun Pete, and the Sacred Garden was complete. Tall Tales of the Sacred Garden was born from careful observation, and interaction with all who share this bountiful garden
