The guide features approximately 200 properties, including traditional inns, coaching inns, restaurants with rooms, and smaller hotels. It includes the best of those recommended in Inns with Restaurants, such as The Inn at Whitewell, The Hoste Arms (Thorpe Market), and The Sea Crest (Jersey). Twelve regional inspectors visit each property annually and a display copy of the guide is placed in every letting bedroom of each and the places featured.
