Great Bible Study book. Questions at the end of each chapter. In the Bible, 1 and 2 Peter were written by Peter some 30+ years after the resurrection of Jesus. They were written while Peter was in prison and about to die as Jesus had told him he would before the ascension. The books are powerful because they represent the number one ambassador and one of the key founders and builders of the church. In these two epistles Peter gives clear direction about what is important in life. Interestingly, he does not go back over any of his accomplishments but rather directs all that would read his words how they should live for God. He says in essence, it is not what you do for God but how you live for God that matters. He rehearses what are the key character qualities that lead to a productive life in Christ here on earth. He promises participation in the Divine nature of God if we will progressively walk in these character qualities.
