Playwright Jerome McDonough and cartoonist Michael H. (alias Aitch) Price developed LEX EICON & THE NUMEROLOGIST in 1973 in emulation of the Absurdist fables of Shel Silverstein and Edward Gorey. This slender volume has reappeared in editions of 1996 and 2009, but the present book restores the authentic text and original artwork from the files of McDonough, who became better known as a prolific writer of provocative one-act pieces for high-school students; his JUVIE was the most-often produced short play of 1986. Price is the author of the long-running FORGOTTEN HORRORS series of film encyclopedias.
