Dead Aft to the Wind is the first of an adventure series that is set in the late 1700's about a young man, Nathaniel Kirk, who lost his parents at an early age. His adventure begins when he boards a ship called the Resolve where the captain takes him under his wing and teaches him all that pertains to seafaring. In the evenings, the captain teaches Nathaniel mathematics, a tool that would play a part when he discovers a treasure in the South Pacific. Amidst pirate threats, bounty hunters, and slave ship controversies, Nathaniel learns some peculiar equations along the way. It's a fun read for audiences from young adult on up.
