Other people have inspired me. Many different circumstances have enlightened me. The poetry I've written in this Fourth Volume of the Bric-a-Brac series, has the definitive gift of spiritual blessings bestowed on me by the Holy Spirit. It is important for all of us to have messages from all spiritual corners of our world--and here are the messages from my corner in Louisville, Kentucky (U.S.A.).
Poems about a pattern of unhappiness in my "love" life long ago an how I was trying to find my way through it; short, uplifting poems written for every day of the year--but I only made it to 41; and spiritual poems which have an inspirational message no matter what spiritual preference you may have.. they are for EACH of us.
It is very important for every person to accept or reject the intensely gratifying messages we receive through our lives. The uncountable numbers of blessings and miracles given to us through the Holy Spirit are essential to our spirit's well-being. We have an advantage over every other creature on our planet--to be able to discern right and wrong and act accordingly. Volume 5 continues this spiritual messaging with poetry I had written around ten years ago. It is exceptionally relevant, as are all the other poems I've written.
This book of poetry is, as described by its title, a bric-a-brac of subjects concerning our spirituality, love, and relevant societal statements with today's current events (2016) in mind. They are soul-piercing, intensely personal rhyming verses for anyone who is capable of understanding and evaluating the essence of our human condition--no matter what geographical, societal, racial, or gender affiliation we may identify with. And without limitation to our place in history, the poems about love and our spirituality are to be considered inspirationally "timeless".
In my on-going attempt to participate in this world that our Saviour has created, I have been given a unique advantage that many may envy me, and others like me, for--the ability to express thoughts in a poetic manner. You are witness to these special insights of hope, faith, love, honor, and life. Volume 6 is an amalgamation of all previous Volumes plus it has its own cryptic messaging, which your thirst for knowledge and inspiration may find valuable.
There are 47 poems in this book of rhyming poetry. It has poems for my mother (in particular), a past President, some written for other people who have been an integral part of the shaping of my personal life, and poems about my sociological view of this country. There are a few poems written after the death of my son's father who was murdered in the fall of 1990. For most of the poems, I made a conscious effort to include ones regarding our spiritual lives which have a great impact on our views and how we react or respond to issues and trials every day of the earthly journey we find ourselves on.
Sadly, our nation is under a current administration that is willing to demonize many of its citizens by denigrating their character. The 45th president of the United States of America attacks our democracy and defies constitutional beliefs which were put in place to protect those citizens from people such as himself--donald trump wants America to be his little fiefdom where the rules of governance should only enhance the wealthiest people, destroy our environment, show favoritism to racism's paradigm, and challenge the freedoms he has taken for granted all of his life. This book is dedicated to the disaster known as "donald trump's presidency" and each poem is a statement of protest AGAINST his destructive incivility, puerile combativeness, and his detachment from the "TRUTH"!

Frank and Francie Always: A Ghost Story By: Brenda Morrison Barrett Zeller and Lori Alexander Barrett Frank and Francie Always: A Ghost Story is a thrilling tale of life, death, and the afterlife. The book is about a woman whose husband finally joins her in the cemetery after his death. The story alternates between present-day occurrences and flashbacks to life before tragedy struck Frank and Francie. Frank and Francie Always is about their experiences after arriving in the cemetery, but there are many lookbacks to their life together before the cemetery. The book hits on important issues like the grief process, religion, fidelity, and everlasting love.
Last year we saw how a governmental hodgepodge of societal issues caused people with opposing viewpoints to vehemently disagree with one another. During the 2016 Presidential election and campaign seasons involving Sen. Hilary Clinton, Dem. and Donald Trump, Rep;., the main Liberal and Conservative political branches went against each other in a moral divide which harmed the fragile fabric which holds the American population together. The unfortunate 'racial' bigotry, violence, and hatred which has been fostered (mostly)by the actions and words of Donald J. Trump, who has become the 45th President of the U.S., is almost incredulously inconceivable. He has become an embarrassment to decency with alleged "Christian Evangelical" people giving him his strongest support; regardless of the undisguised blatant, destructible lies he utters on a DAILY basis. His presidency is dangerous to the well-being of this Country. So, I wrote about him in verse.
Wheelie is Our Hero is the author's first children's book and is based on an event she witnessed in her homeland. This book is best suited to children from age 5 to 10 and deals with the issue of difference. Thanks to my niece Tayden and my nephew Nathaniel who were the first children to whom Wheelie is Our Hero was read.

The Book of "Leviticus" is derived from the name of the tribe Levi, the tribe that supplied the priest for Israel. Jewish and Christian tradition has regarded Moses as the author of Leviticus. When GOD delivered Israel out of Egypt, GOD revealed HIS covenant to Moses at Mount Sinai. When GOD entered into a covenant with the Israelites, HE transformed them from a band of refugee slaves into a nation. Every detailed regulation recorded in Leviticus is a revelation from GOD through Moses for HIS people. Many of the required sacrifices described in Leviticus were for the atontement of sins. The instructions in Leviticus were not given to the Israelites in order to help them achieve their own salvation. Salvation can never be earned because it is always a gift of GOD'S grace through faith. The important point is that Leviticus is what it says it is a series of revelations from GOD about how GOD'S people may approach HIM through sacrifice and honor HIM in holy living. The purpose of Leviticus was to show the Israelites how they could live in ritual and moral purity. When the Israelites maintained their purity, GOD could live among them and they could approach HIM in worship. The distinctions between clean and unclean and the various laws for holy living promoted the Israelites' own welfare and marked them out as a people separated to GODl Israel's witness to GOD'S holiness and their visible well being as of holy living before HIM would vividly demonstrate to their neighbors GOD'S power and HIS care for HIS people. The directive found first in Leviticus 11:44 and many times afterward clearly express's this purpose for the laws: "You shall be holy, for I AM holy". Leviticus reveals the holiness of GOD and HIS love for HIS people in ways found nowhere else in the Bible.
