This thesis develops a pioneering methodology and a concept for identifying critical loads and load model parameters in large power networks based on their influence on power system stability. The research described in the thesis first develops an automatic load modelling tool (ALMT) that can be used to automatically build load model from actual measured power system data without human intervention and the benefits of the ALMY are explored. Secondly, it develops a pioneering framework based on Morris screening method for ranking power system load model parameters based on their influence on overall power system stability (voltage, frequency, transient and small disturbance stability) considering different load models and loading conditions. Thirdly, a novel probabilistic methodology for determining the accuracy levels of critical load model parameters has been developed. This book will be of interest to students and researchers within the field of electrical engineering, as well as industry professionals.
Once she transmigrated, her father did not love her, but her origin body was still a little fool. She was being bullied everywhere! It didn't matter. My name is Chen Fei, a forensic doctor! In order to pay respects to my grandparents and burn paper to sweep the tomb, I rushed back to my hometown. He had actually committed a taboo, attracting a beautiful ghost girl ...
His little brother was hospitalized and had no medical fees. Ruan Mengmeng thought of this rotten idea of bumping into porcelain, so when she bumped into Young Master Li's head, it was natural that he would not even have bones left. She thought she was a pet that he had taken care of on a whim. On the surface, she lowered her body and cowered, not daring to cause any trouble. In fact, he was a sharp-tongued man who had planned his escape over and over in his mind, but the next day he was caught again. He pressed him down on the bed, resenting the fact that he had failed. "I treated you like a thorn in my heart, but you didn't know that! You still want to run? And then I'll turn you from a heart to a fish on a chopping board!
China’s food security has never failed to attract the public’s attention. Feeding China’s large population has always been a huge challenge. The latest large-scale famine took place in 1958–62 during which approximately 37 million people died of starvation. However, since the early 1980s, China’s food availability has improved drastically. The important question is then: has China achieved its food security? Although China’s food availability has significantly improved, it has not achieved a high level of food security due to the lack of progress in several other important dimensions of food security. The book examines China’s food security practices in the past six decades, explores the root causes that led to food shortages or abundances, and elaborates on the challenges that China has to deal with in order to improve its future food security. China’s quest for food security serves as a valuable lesson for many other countries to learn through China’s experiences and to better manage their food security in the future. The book also draws attention to the fact that China’s food security status has a huge impact on the global community and hence global collaboration is a mutually beneficial approach.
This book is for students who are familiar with an introductory course in mechanics at the freshman level. With an emphasis on perspectives that are more fundamental and techniques more advanced than those given in most introductory mechanics textbooks, the book illuminates on notions where vectors are coordinate free, presents the importance of reference frames (inertial and non-inertial) to mechanics problems, the role of Galilean Relativity on invariance and covariance of physical quantities, a framework to perform calculations — free from the constraint of a fixed axis — in rotational dynamics, and others. Moreover, it provides clear links between concepts in mechanics and other branches of physics, such as thermodynamics and electrodynamics, so that students can possess a more complete view of what they learn within the confines of physics.
After the hedonistic young master was drawn into the conflict between the two factions both sides wanted to mess with him the firepower was so strong He wasn't afraid of doing anything when he stomped the evil sect he slapped their decent faces and said — go to hell
Lore and Verse is the first English-language book dedicated entirely to studying poems on history (yongshi shi) in premodern China. Focusing on works by poets from the entire range of early medieval China (220–589), Yue Zhang explores how history was disseminated and interpreted through poetry, as well as how and why certain historical figures were commemorated in poetry. In writing poems on history, poets retrospectively crafted their own identities through their celebration of historical figures, and they prospectively fortified a continuous lineage for transmitting their values and reputation to future generations. This continuous tradition of cultural memory informs a poet's reception of historical figures, which in turn shapes that tradition through further intertextual connections. Lore and Verse questions the sweeping generalization of early medieval Chinese poetry as consisting mainly of exuberant images and an ornamental style—an inaccurate characterization repeated by later historians and literary critics—and it provides translations, close readings, and analyses of selected poems on history that will be useful for students, instructors, and general readers interested in premodern Chinese literature and culture.
Emerging markets business cycle models treat default risk as part of an exogenous interest rate on working capital, while sovereign default models treat income fluctuations as an exogenous endowment process with ad-noc default costs. We propose instead a general equilibrium model of both sovereign default and business cycles. In the model, some imported inputs require working capital financing; default on public and private obligations occurs simultaneously. The model explains several features of cyclical dynamics around default triggers an efficiency loss as these inputs are replaced by imperfect substitutes; and default on public and private obligations occurs simultaneously. The model explains several features of cyclical dynamics around deraults, countercyclical spreads, high debt ratios, and key business cycle moments.

In exchange for status, she was a seductive and gorgeous cultivation genius. As soon as he returned, he was the cold and handsome War God of his generation. With the space of the black and white jade pendant in his hand, he could do whatever he wanted in the world. How could there be so many coincidences in the world? Life has its limits. Love at first sight? The kindness of dripping water in return? He said lightly, "I saved your life. I expect you will not be able to repay me. You can only repay me with your body." From then on, he was bound to live his entire life.
If a woman wanted revenge, what other weapons could she use other than her body? When she met him, she was the daughter of a traitor who had been exterminated. When he met her, he was the king of the pirates; He pitied her, he doted on her, but in her eyes he was a demon that took over her body and freedom. There were two reasons for her survival: to kill the ruler of her people, and to kill the pirates who had tainted her life. And years later, when the Dwarf had been captured and the pirates were overpowering, this drifting feeling would rest in whose heart.
Flexible robotic manipulators pose various challenges in research as compared to rigid robotic manipulators, ranging from system design, structural optimization, and construction to modeling, sensing, and control. Although significant progress has been made in many aspects over the last one-and-a-half decades, many issues are not resolved yet, and simple, effective, and reliable controls of flexible manipulators still remain an open quest. Clearly, further efforts and results in this area will contribute significantly to robotics (particularly automation) as well as its application and education in general control engineering. To accelerate this process, the leading experts in this important area present in this book the state of the art in advanced studies of the design, modeling, control and applications of flexible manipulators.
Tian Xiaomeng, the only daughter of Fang Zhongtian in the village, crossed over to the other side of the mountain to gather herbs for her father. When he saw Tian Xiaomeng, he realized what kind of a woman she was. He was like a female bandit when he was crazy, and a female general when he was bold and knowledgeable. If he was smart, he might not even be comparable to the top scholar of the imperial court. There was only one downside to such a woman. Nothing but money. I heard that the Tian Clan only has two requests for a son-in-law. One is to grow a farm, and the other is to earn money. Su Yuzhan loaded a pile of silver notes into a pile and picked up a hoe. He was going to recommend himself to join the family.
Each industry had its own revered patriarchs, just as the coppersmiths' patriarchs were Old Lord Li, the dyers' patriarchs were the Second Sage Maegor, the carpenters' patriarchs were Luban, and the hunters' patriarchs were the gods. According to the Mountain and Sea Scripture, the brothers lived on a mountain in the East China Sea called the Duso Temple, so most of the temples used by the hunters to worship their ancestors were named the Temple of Dushi.Hunters were gradually fading out of sight in the modern world, and naturally, the Dushi Temple was also largely abandoned. There was very little incense burning, but the best hunting skill had been passed down from generation to generation in the Hunter Families. Today, the most experienced hunters are pursuing the goal and glory of the cannibal beast.Yao Yun and Wei Wuji were the descendants of the two Battalion Commanders, Yao and Wei. Relying on the hunting secret manuals passed down from their ancestors, they had learned a set of excellent hunting techniques, but they were rarely of use. On a fortuitous occasion, Yao and Wei Wuji rescued Ashely, the head of the ifa-foundation, who had been attacked by wild boars. In order to earn money for their brothers and donkeys to support their families, as well as to find out the real reason for the mysterious death of their donkeys, they started a dangerous journey to hunt man-eating beasts around the world at the invitation of Ashley. Abnormal man-eating bear, strange "zombie" human, black dragon, hidden mysterious treasure, bizarre death...From the jungles of Burma to the wilds of India, they followed the trail of the cannibals. It was as if there was an invisible hand controlling everything. Was it the fate of the hunter or was it something else? A shocking conspiracy was about to unfold ...
