Learn how slavery, and the supposed vestiges thereof, is used by leftists worldwide in a continuous assault on the United States—a smear campaign that is as hollow as it is destructive. How We Got to Black Lives Matter covers the early history of slavery around the world—from the early colonial period, the founding of the U.S., the antebellum period, and the critical events that led to the Civil War. The chains of slavery were finally broken with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, but the benefits from this groundbreaking legislation never seemed to materialize. Some of the later programs designed to improve the lives of the poor have instead helped lead to the creation of inner-city hell holes in many of America's large urban centers. Over the years, certain anti-poverty laws have had an opposite effect, with the destruction of the black family and the emergence of inter-generational welfare dependency, runaway crime, and other maladies. Using the cudgel of racism and discrimination to repel any constructive ideas for reform has promoted the continuance of the dependent classes to ensure political favor at the voting booth. This book will reveal how we got here—along with some ways to get out.

Wallace to be published in the Variorum series is signaled in the title of the opening paper: 'Domingo de Soto and the Iberian roots of Galileo's science'. The seven essays in the first part provide textual studies of Soto's early formulations of the laws of falling bodies, the context in which they were developed in the 16th century, and the ways in which they were transmitted in Spain and Portugal to the early 17th century, mainly by Jesuit scholars. The following essays focus on the young Galileo and his work at Pisa and Padua, leading to his discovery of the law of uniform acceleration in free fall. Textual evidence is presented for an indirect influence of Soto's work on Galileo, mediated by Jesuits who were teaching at Padua in the first decade of the 17th century.

This book is a guide for someone who is incarcerated or facing imprisonment. It doesnt take a degree in quantum physics to figure out that putting people in prison is big business in America. If every law that was written was always obeyed then apparently someone would be out of a job. Lawyers, judges, probation officers, correctional officers, etcthe list goes on and on. What if you ran the judicial system in America, making billions of dollars? Would you design your system for prisoners to be rehabilitated, or would you set your system up so that those prisoners remained uneducated almost guaranteeing his or her returning for a second or third sentence? Now Im not saying get rid of all prisons and let the criminal element run free. Please dont think that. I have been in prison myself and I know a few people who should never be allowed out of prison. I will also say that I have witnessed a few prisoners educate themselves because failure was not an option for them.
