Some records may and are of the same soldier with different companies. This is due to the fact that after the first year, soldiers were given the option to stay with the current company or leave and join another and the combining of soldiers toward the end of the war. Another reason will be soldiers being discharged early in the war and rejoining another company later on in the war.
