This is the first booklength account of how Maurice Merleau-Ponty used certain texts by Alfred North Whitehead to develop an ontology based on nature, and how he could have used other Whitehead texts that he did not know in order to complete his last ontology. This account is enriched by several of Merleau-Ponty's unpublished writings not previously available in English, by the first detailed treatment of certain works by F.W.J. Schelling in the course of showing how they exerted a substantial influence on both Merleau-Ponty and Whitehead, and by the first extensive discussion of Merleau-Ponty's interest in the Stoics's notion of the twofold logos—the logos endiathetos and the logos proforikos. This book provides a thorough exploration of the consonance between these two philosophers in their mutual desire to overcome various bifurcations of nature, and of nature from spirit, that continued to haunt philosophy and science since the 17th-century.

Police Chief Brandon Johns and Detective Samantha Gates immediately launch an investigation to apprehend the killer before the festival begins. With the Cheese Days committee and Police and Fire Commissioner Roger Nussbaum demanding a quick resolution to the murder, the police are at a loss when they can’t determine a motive for the murder or a suspect through their investigation. What are they to do? The pressure is continually turned up on them every passing day without an arrest. They desperately need a break in the case. They need someone to come forward to give them the one clue they need to solve the murder.

The vibrant exchange of ideas provided the real strength and foundation of the Conference, especially in areas of the ever-expanding field of laser spectroscopy.

These published rolls are intended to provide a fairly comprehensive list of the loyal colonials who joined the Provincial Corps of the British Army, 1775-1784, that were part of the Northern, or Canadian, command during the American Revolution. The name "Provincial corps of the British Army" applied to regiments established for loyal residents of Britain’s colonies. To conduct the war against the rebels in the Thirteen colonies, the British government organized military departments at key points which the army could control. The central department was the occupied zone around New York City; the Southern was Florida; the Eastern (or Northeastern) was Nova Scotia, which included New Brunswick; the Northern was the old Province of Canada, now Ontario and Quebec.
