Even within our education system, hijacked and led to failure by national education policies and mandates, students can still escape to gain a good and effective education. Current education policies dictate each student be educated as a robot off an assembly line. This concept is contrary to reasonable humanity. Every child is unique, guided by different nurturing, examples, social structure, dreams and aspirations. Instead of allowing and guiding students to find their natural paths to success within their perceived realities, government assigns group realities. This creates despair, and dropouts, from weaker students and disappointment from more gifted students who recognize this governmental travesty. This book exposes and explains why government education policies fail and why education success must be achieved by interaction between children and parents. The education process is made clear by understanding the three parts of education: opportunity, conditioning, and motivation. Ten parenting skills and twenty study skills are included to support this education process.
Like other fragile sub-Saharan African countries, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone are seeking to harness their natural resource potential in the context of ambitious development strategies. This study investigates options for scaling up public investment and expanding social safety nets in a general equilibrium setting. First, it assesses the macro-fiscal implications of alternative fiscal rules for public investment, and, second, it explicitly accounts for redistribution through direct cash transfers. Results show that a sustainable non-resource deficit target is robust to the high uncertainty of resources output and prices, while delivering growth benefits through higher public investment. The scaling-up magnitudes, however, depend on the size of projected resource revenue and absorptive capacity. Adding a social transfer raises private consumption, suggesting that a fraction of the resource revenue could be used to expand safety nets.
The president of the United States has always been elected with the presumption that he will be the president of all the people of the United States. Barack Obama has shown that he has been the extreme exception to that expectation. Barack Hussein Obama began his presidential campaign with a promise to 'share the wealth' of the country and to 'spread the wealth around.' He never once promised to create an environment in America to help the poor earn their share of the wealth. His was a promise to give them something, not to give them the opportunity to earn something for themselves by being part of productive society. He promised the poor a free dole. His initial action was to create class warfare by separating the consciousness of American society. He labeled their enemy as the 'millionaires and billionaires' so their target would have a classification and could be identified. He would be their savior to make those millionaires and billionaires share their wealth with them. They believed him and they followed him. Many even worshiped him as a deity. They became his 'doles.' His doles will follow anywhere he leads them, even into places alien to the visions of our Founding Fathers. Obama has used the same practices and techniques as did Vladimir Lenin in Russia and Adolph Hitler in Germany to create loyal followers. He told his doles what they wanted to hear - and he became powerful. Lenin convinced the proletariat, George Orwell's proles, the ruling class was their enemy. His proles helped him destroy a once proud Russia. Jewish merchants were Hitler's target. He convinced poor Germans they were keeping Germans from being successful, and they followed Hitler to destroy Germany's once great nation. Of course, no one other than himself can predict what his plans are, or even his ultimate goals. But at this time, his goals do not seem directed in the best and highest interests of the United States. The 101 blogs in this writing are taken from those I posted on my site at Authorsden during the past two years. In combination, they reveal my belief that Barack Obama is a danger to the survival of our great country, the United States of America, similar to the danger created by Lenin and Hitler. His, however, is more insidious and cunning.
Designed for readers beyond picture books, but not so advanced that fun and imagination are removed, Wishing Wells and Broken Tales fills that important niche. Reference pictures are included, but not enough to restrict a child's reading practice and development at that next important level. Reading fun begins when Jack and Jill meet familiar nursery rhyme characters as they explore along a forest trail. They meet Boney, a dog embarrassed when Mother Hubbard tells him that since the cupboard is bare, he will have to find his own bones. They also meet Patience, one of the children who lives with the woman in the shoe. And of course, a real story wouldn't be complete until there's a race between a rabbit and a turtle, a turtle who thinks he's a rabbit. Other exciting characters include the evil witch who likes to bake Hansel and Gretel cookies in the gingerbread house. And, we can never forget Little Miss Muffett who has a problem with an interesting spider, named Creepie. While children have fun, they also learn important concepts of responsibility, cooperation, and acceptance of others.
This love lost and found and historical novel begins with a current day vehicle accident on a Mississippi highway. The vehicle chasing an elderly couple, Thornton and Melissa, careens over a bridge leaving two of the three occupants dead. While aiding the survivor, Thornton is puzzled by the survivor's incoherent comments and wonders if his life is in danger, and what relationship a little girl has with the survivor's family and his family. The story reveals that relationship began from a tragic event at the end of the Civil War. Set in the South, many scenes are alive depicting hardships, relationships, and subsistence survival for rural citizens struggling to survive after the war. Scenes include realistic descriptions of the Mississippi River, cotton farming, travel difficulties, and daily survival between conflicting cultures. Although a work of fiction, problems described were reality for many real people at that time, and for the next fifty years.
This book could be sub-titled: Who are the Two Women Described in the Book of Revelation? Those two women represent two religions. What is the purpose for the Bible's Book of Revelation? The purpose is three-fold. First, is to warn Christians and others who worship God to 'Hold fast' because there will be many trials and tribulations to challenge their beliefs - and to threaten their lives. It reveals that many believers will be intimidated and even killed if they cling to their worship. That phase has already begun; and is fast accelerating - all over the world; even here in America under an insidious one-sided war labeled the 'Silent Jihad.'. Second, is to warn those who follow Satan that there will be plagues and wars to get their attention to turn from their evil ways - to turn them from worshiping the 'Dragon.' Revelation also identifies that religion, 'the Great Whore that sitteth upon many waters; with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication.' That 'Antichrist' religion is clearly defined in Chapter 17, Verse 6: “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” In Revelation, the Antichrist is described as the 'beast.' The term 'saints' in Revelation is not referring to appointed saints, but those who hold fast to the Christian religion. Consider the religion that slaughters Christians and other innocents today - now - in the name of their religion. Only political correctness, and perhaps something more sinister, protects that religion, that war, from being openly exposed here in America.Third, is to offer hope for those who 'hold fast' and do not turn from their worship of God and His Son. Revelation offers the Seven Spirits of God that will help those maintain their devotion through these perilous times; and to reveal the great blessing to be received at the end of the great tribulation by those who 'hold fast.' This book helps understand those Seven Spirits.
Education in America is no longer education. It has evolved into a political, economic, and social concept where real education ideas and plans are given last thought or consideration, if any. These policies have thrown education into a confused jungle with no hope for weak students to survive or escape. If education policy-makers really wanted to improve education, that task would be simple; as any problem-solving is simple. They have not identified the fundamental education problem to be solved. That problem is the lower twenty-five percent of students who are unprepared to learn, caused by family or cultural deprivation. Instead, education has been hijacked by those national leaders who are fixated to prove the idea by James Coleman that by mixing students from different cultures, the weaker cultures will be educated by what he termed, 'social capital.' This is not an education concept. And, we should not discount the possibility that politicians are not serious about improving education, as we understand what education should be. According to Thomas Jefferson, the main purpose for education should be to prevent political tyranny. Adolf Hitler once said, "Knowledge is ruin to my young men." Should it be a serious consideration that the less educated are easy targets, cannon fodder, for persuasive and convincing politicians? Are politicians only giving lip service to improve education, instead of making an honest attempt? This book explains why our current education system is dysfunctional. It also shows how to help weaker students become motivated to appreciate and seek education.
America is under attack. America has always been under attack. America will likely continue to be under attack. Our attackers are not those who threaten us with military force. Presently, we are well prepared to fend off an enemy who is seen - one who can be defeated on the battlefield. Our enemy is more insidious, and often supported by those within our government who are responsible for preventing that danger. Thomas Jefferson warned us of this danger early on, even while the U.S. Constitution was being written. One of his major concerns was that if citizens were not educated to recognize tyranny they might not be able to recognize it; not if it occurred, but when it occurred. He knew the democratic principles of our republic would be challenged. The United States still has not established a basic principle, a standard, that guides our education purpose. This has been the primary reason our education efforts, our education system, continues to fail our students. This book serves three purposes. First, to show how Jefferson's concern about being educated to recognize tyranny against our democracy applies in our current generation, and during the generation of students who are now in school. Second, to illustrate how current students must be our new heros. Third, to give twenty specific study skills to help those students find their hidden abilities to learning success.
Although fictional, the characters in this story discuss many important events and practices occurring in the lives of every American, and many citizens throughout the world. The strong movement by leaders of many countries to establish what they term 'a new world order' is a surreptitious danger that many citizens do not recognize. That idea concerns 'globalism, ' where citizens of all countries are ruled as if they are citizens of only one universal country. How are we almost there, and what are the many dangers of the new world order, globalism? Our National resolve has been weakened and influenced to accept globalism in three major areas. First is education. Once our education system was decentralized. That allowed excellence in some areas and weaknesses in others. Nevertheless, it allowed opportunity to excel for those who chose to try. It also enforced a check and balance system where ideas, concepts, and results could be compared. Now, education is controlled by a centralized authority, and is at the whim of however the leaders and enforcers decide to orient educational goals. The second attack on our nationalism, which is now even more pervasive, is on our religion. Many seeking the goal of a one world order understand differing religions are obstacles to that goal. Consequently, religion must be destroyed or diminished to allow world compatibility. Our God is now being disallowed in many public places to support that globalism goal. The third attack on American citizens is that of free speech. Many common and normal words are now disallowed in public discourse. Many other words soon will be banned, with threat of penalties from the government under the auspices of political correctness. Today, every free citizen must guard every word he or she says, or be subjected to criticism and threat. The purpose of growing political correctness is not to offend others when the world is only one. Our right to free speech is in danger. What are the dangers of globalism? The dangers are many, but two dangers expose their ugly faces in the forefront. They are authoritarianism from the elite, and mediocrity from the masses. The elite, those who consider themselves more intelligent, more worldly, and more qualified to lead, will become more autocratic in their control of world citizens. This must happen in their quest to equally distribute resources and opportunity. What will happen when these world leaders disagree? Can we expect world standstill and possibly even large civil wars within the world order? If those who strive for globalism succeed, what might happen to the average citizen? The same situation will most likely happen that evolves in all socialistic societies. No one will work hard to succeed if he or she knows part of that success will be given to someone who does nothing, and doesn't deserve it. The world will become mediocre at best, and could even fall into another time of darkness and despair. Why is a strong, independent, and separate America necessary? We must continue to be a beacon for the world. Without the example we set for every nation and every world citizen, those citizens will not be shown the vision of what can be if they strive for success. Progress is not a random gift. When will Americans realize the plan for a new world order, globalism, is too advanced to be turned back? When will it be too late? That will happen when the Second Amendment to our Constitution is ignored by our leaders, and private citizens are not allowed to own and bear arms to defend themselves and our United States of America. The author's purpose for this book is to sound that alarm with a fictional account. At all costs, we must strongly defend the Second Amendment to our U.S. Constitution, and never allow it to be ignored or weakened.
Nearly all Americans in our past worshiped God to give thanks for the creation of our country and for its great blessings. Through Obama's leadership and influence, God's name now has been cast out and unwelcome from many institutions in America. How far will these exclusions go; perhaps to the point of total exclusions and even persecution? This U.S. war on Christians grows more ominous each day. Does not evil and persecution left unchecked become more acceptable and normal; does it not often lead to tyranny? How can evil be recognized and judged in a society not influenced by the respect for God's creation? Will Obama's influence create a condition that one day will cause Christians and Jews to flee to the wilderness as they escape the Abomination of Desolation when the beast sits on the thrown in Jerusalem? Christians are now being attacked in every segment of our American society. The foundation of our society, and perhaps existence, is fast eroding. The 'War on Christianity' is a war on America. If Christianity falls, America falls with it. The evildoers in the world have already set examples of what the world is like without God and Christianity guiding their course. In many countries even the mention of God and Christianity brings harassment and exclusion. In the more intolerant cultures and nations, the mention of God and Christ brings instant death. Will America one day join the attitudes of those Godless and intolerant nations; or will America return to its founding course to the acceptance and guidance of God's graceful and loving hand? Presently, we are not on that course. This book explains how and why.
Will Barack Hussein Obama be the last president of the United States? His words, actions, and lack of respect for our Constitution indicate that's his plan. The president of the United States has always been elected with the presumption that he will be the president of all the people of the United States. The 99 blogs in this writing are taken from those I posted on my site at Authorsden during the past two years. In combination, they reveal my belief that Barack Obama is a danger to the survival of our great country, the United States of America, similar to the danger created by Lenin and Hitler. His, however, is more insidious and cunning. Reading these blogs as a unit paints a clearer picture of where Barack Obama plans to take us and our great nation.
Within an aura of uncertainty about ourselves within the political turmoil created by Barack Obama and his anti-Christian administration, our nation now has no vision for an optimistic future for ourselves. Within those obscured dreams of our future, we twice elected a president who did not, and does not, share those foundational expectations and dreams for our nation's future. Those were the dreams, expectations, and aspirations designed for each of us by our Founding Fathers, those brave and foresightful ancestors who fought and died for us. Many fought and died to grant us liberty and freedom and an inalienable right to seek personal success and happiness. They gave us personal opportunity unknown by any people before us. They gave us human reality, individual dignity, and hope as free individuals. Barack Obama clearly is determined to destroy that destiny they planned for us. How is Barack Obama different from those Founding Fathers, and most presidents before him? He expresses total disdain for those who strive for personal success and happiness. Instead, he advocates equality by devices to spread the wealth around; taking from those who succeed and giving to others who merely wait on the sidelines with their hands extended. He blasphemes and ridicules God; while he exclaims the great virtues of the Muslim faith. Most importantly, he offers no great hope or vision for this great nation to go forward into the future, demonstrating the highest qualities and virtues of humanity. He destroys the purpose for which our nation was founded, under God, with liberty and justice for all. That destiny was created through the sacrifices of our patriotic ancestors. He divides and destroys a wonderful humanitarian and historical experiment - The United States of America. These 25 articles explore many of Obama's destructive tactics against our nation, and also include many Biblical references to demonstrate the severity of his actions. Perhaps if we can survive this danger we will have survived our greatest peril. It will prove we can survive any great peril or disaster. We must remain Americans - true and patriotic Americans. God bless America.
