This book provides a comprehensive overview of marine control system design related to underwater robotics applications. In particular, it presents novel optimization-based model predictive control strategies to solve control problems appearing in autonomous underwater vehicle applications. These novel approaches bring unique features, such as constraint handling, prioritization between multiple design objectives, optimal control performance, and robustness against disturbances and uncertainties, into the control system design. They therefore form a more general framework to design marine control systems and can be widely applied. Advanced Model Predictive Control for Autonomous Marine Vehicles balances theoretical rigor – providing thorough analysis and developing provably-correct design conditions – and application perspectives – addressing practical system constraints and implementation issues. Starting with a fixed-point positioning problem for a single vehicle and progressing to the trajectory-tracking and path-following problem of the vehicle, and then to the coordination control of a large-scale multi-robot team, this book addresses the motion control problems, increasing their level of challenge step-by-step. At each step, related subproblems such as path planning, thrust allocation, collision avoidance, and time constraints for real-time implementation are also discussed with solutions. In each chapter of this book, compact and illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the design and implementation procedures. As a result, this book is useful for both theoretical study and practical engineering design, and the tools provided in the book are readily applicable for real-world implementation.

She was the Xia Family's daughter who had been left behind. He was the high and mighty head of the Lu Family. He originally thought that the two of them wouldn't have any interactions, but fate loved to joke around. One day, she was called Mommy by a little shota while dragging her clothes. The man behind her had a complacent smile on his face as he said, "Xia Xun Sheng, let's get married." "Sorry, we're not familiar with each other!" "It doesn't matter. We will have a lifetime to get to know each other." He was taken home without realizing it. After the wedding, she hid in the quilt and bit her finger. "You go out, I don't want to sleep in the same room as you, you beast.
Everyone says that transmigration is good, that I become a worm every day. However, for the sake of hair, I ate a meal, yet was worried about a rest, not having any daddies, not having any daddies, not having any daddies, not having any daddies, not even having any daddies, not even having any sisters, not to mention being good for her I watched her take care of the people who harmed her, the spirit pet that everyone wanted, and the many handsome men that she took care of. One day, a certain Holy Lord pitifully said, "Why don't you take me in as well?" The scheming girl slanted her eyes as she looked at him. "I won't take useless people!" He could leave the hall, he could go to the kitchen and, more importantly, he could warm the bed. " I thought about it, and it seemed to be true ... Join Collection
A piece of purple jade was overturning the heavens and overturning the earth. A giant hand was controlling the heavens. This was a battle of fate! This book is a collection of twenty-five outstanding minority writers and a selection of their masterpieces in contemporary China. Most of them have won the Horse Award for national minority literatures in China. China is a country with 56 ethnic groups — like a quilt made with 56 panels, each different but a part of the fabric. Since the founding of new China in 1949, minority writers have been flourishing. The transformation of society that is the result of China’s growth and the worldwide advancement in technology has brought about tremendous changes in the areas inhabited by ethnic minority groups. Their diverse lives in these areas and their unique ideas and feelings have contributed much to their writings. Rooted in their ethnic cultures, these writers have shaped many artistic images with salient ethnic features while presenting their ethnic mentality, lives, and their cultural traditions. Their writings are models of ethnic cultural continuity. When we place their writings into the cultural contexts, many cultural values are highlighted, which otherwise might have been overlooked by the cultural mainstream. Their writings are characterized by plain ecological awareness and truth, goodness, and the beauty of human beings. The advantage of minority literature lies in the fact that it seeks the universality of human beings amid the uniqueness of the minority people. From this book, readers may gain an overview of contemporary Chinese minority writers and the multihued cultures of China.
Nonlinear stress analysis (a branch of solid mechanics) is an essential feature in the design of such diverse structures as aircraft, bridges, machines, and dams. Computational techniques have become vital tools in dealing with the complex, time-consuming problems associated with nonlinear stress analysis. Although finite element techniques are widely used, boundary element methods (BEM) offer a powerful alternative, especially in tackling problems of three-dimensional plasticity. This book describes the application of BEM in solid mechanics, beginning with basic theory and then explaining the numerical implementation of BEM in nonlinear stress analysis. The book includes a state-of-the-art CD-ROM containing BEM source code for use by the reader. This book will be especially useful to stress analysts in industry, research workers in the field of computational plasticity, and postgraduate students taking courses in engineering mechanics.

Nonlinear matrix equations arise frequently in applied science and engineering. This is the first book to provide a unified treatment of structure-preserving doubling algorithms that have been recently studied and proven effective for notoriously challenging problems, such as fluid queue theory and vibration analysis for high speed trains; present recent developments and results for the theory of doubling algorithms for nonlinear matrix equations associated with regular matrix pencils; and highlight the use of doubling algorithms in achieving robust solutions for notoriously challenging problems that other methods cannot. Structure-Preserving Doubling Algorithms for Nonlinear Matrix Equations is intended for researchers and computational scientists, and graduate students may also find it of interest.
Precision Nanometrology describes the new field of precision nanometrology, which plays an important part in nanoscale manufacturing of semiconductors, optical elements, precision parts and similar items. In Detecting Chinese Modernities: Rupture and Continuity in Modern Chinese Detective Fiction (1896–1949), Yan Wei historicizes the two stages in the development of Chinese detective fiction and discusses the rupture and continuity in the cultural transactions, mediation, and appropriation that occurred when the genre of detective fiction traveled to China during the first half of the twentieth century. Wei identifies two divergent, or even opposite strategies for appropriating Western detective fiction during the late Qing and the Republican periods. She further argues that these two periods in the domestication of detective fiction were also connected by shared emotions. Both periods expressed ambivalent and sometimes contradictory views regarding Chinese tradition and Western modernity.
