Arent the days sooner when school-going children may have marijuana cookies, gums, and candies for breakfast and school lunch? How about cigarette companies add a blend of marijuana along with tobacco and advertise as mild, light, and strong blends. There will be a boom in the tobacco industry, and smokers will have already made out cigarettes for smokers that are blended with marijuana at their local stores alongside other regular tobacco products. Are we going to make all America a smoking heaven for marijuana and years later think that we might have gone too far in promoting marijuana, so start banning this menace?
The verse signifies that the message of the Holy Prophet (Allahs blessings) was meant not only for the Arabs among whom he was raised but for all non-Arabs as well, and not only for his contemporaries but also for the coming generations till the end of time. Says Abu Hurairah, One day we were sitting with the Holy Prophet when Surah Jumuah was revealed. I asked the Holy Prophet, Who are the people to whom the words and among others, from among them who have not yet joined them, refer? Salman the Persian was sitting among us. Upon my repeatedly asking the same question, the prophet put his hand on Salman and said, If the Faith were to go up to the Pleiades, a man from these would surely find it (Bukhari). This hadith shows it applies to a man of Persian descent. Now, the Promised Messiah, The founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement was of Persian descent. Other sayings of the Holy Prophet speak of the appearance of the Messiah at a time when there would remain nothing of the Quran but its words, and of Islam but its name i.e. the true spirit of the teachings of Islam will be lost (Baihaqul). These Sufi saints, through their meditation and living a simple life despite available charms of this worldly life, provided an example of purity, spirituality, submission to the Creator, and truthfulness in words and deeds. Daira Din Panah is a city in Kot Addu, Punjab, Pakistan, where there is a shrine of a Sufi saint who spent all his life spreading the teachings of Islam and connecting people to the Creator. We (including the author) are direct descendants of this Sufi saint, Din Panah Sahib. However, my grandfather, Dr. Pir Buksh Sahib, after reading books and learning the truthfulness of the imam of this age, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (peace and blessings), accepted Ahmadiyyat the true Islam. With the exception of some shrines of these saints in Pakistan, most have become a source of politics, rivalry, and money collection through donations and even have deviated from the true teachings of Islam. The very Sufi saints to whom the devotees refer never advocated such practices and led a simple life. These Sufi saints, however, brought an era of Sufism, and some even wrote poetry and left valuable literature full of spiritual enlightenment for the readers and generations to come.
The city of Kabul in particular and the land of Afghanistan never rested in peace after the incident of 14th of July, 1903, when an eminent Afghan scholar, a divine and a sage was mercilessly and brutally stoned to death by religious fanatics. Amidst prophecies the people and rulers of Kabul, in the aftermath failed to create peace in the land or save themselves from their brutal fate. King Amanullah Khan Son of Amir Habibullah Khan became the ruler and took control of the Afghan army and treasury during the early 20th century. He imprisoned those relatives who claimed to the Kingship, and gained the allegiance of most of the tribal leaders. During the same time Russia was undergoing its Communist Revolution. Amanullah Khan used this as an opportunity to gain Afghanistan's independence. He led a surprise attack against the British forces in India on 13th of May, 1919 beginning The-Third-Anglo-Afghan-War. In 1929 Ammanullah Khan was ousted by an uprising and his brother Nadir Khan took over the control. King Nader Khan was assassinated in 1933 and his 19 year old son, Zahir Shah, became the king and there followed a brief period of peace and recognition for Afghanistan. However, In July, 1973, Zahir Shah was ousted in a bloodless coup and Mohammad Daoud Khan became the new President. In December 24, 1979 Russians invaded Afghanistan and the Red Army occupied the capital. This conflict between the Soviet-allied government and the Mujahedeen lasted more than a decade. In 1992 the city’s control was taken over by local militias after the collapse of Dr. Najibullah's pro-communist government. The Afghan civil war began after these local militias became divided among themselves. As a result thousands of people were either killed or immigrated to neighboring countries. By 1993 electricity and water in the city was completely destroyed and people lived in dark nights for several years. The history of Kabul turned to an even darker period when the Taliban took control of Kabul in September of 1996. They publicly hanged the ex-President Dr. Najibullah and his brother at the Presidential Palace square. They shut down the girls’ schools and forbid women from working outside the home. In October of 2001, after the 9/11 attack in New York and Pentagon, the United States invaded Afghanistan. The NATO forces now plan (2014) to fully or partially leave Afghanistan. Currently the present government of Afghanistan led by President Hamid Karzai is striving for future peace in Afghanistan and the region. Will the land of Kabul witness lasting peace?

The Arab delegations thanked Huzoor (Khalifa tul Masih II) by sending a telegram and wrote, We have been greatly relieved. A study of the enormous differences in agricultural productivity that exist across farms and regions in Pakistan, where, for example, recent farm-level data from Sindh, indicates that irrigated wheat output per hectare varies from 0.5 to 5.4 tons across farms.
