The New Public Service: Serving, not Steering provides a framework for the many voices calling for the reaffirmation of democratic values, citizenship, and service in the public interest. This book deals with the investigation of global attractors of nonlinear dynamical systems. The exposition proceeds from the simplest attractor of a single equilibrium to more complicated ones, i.e. to finite, denumerable and continuum equilibria sets; and further, to cycles, homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits; and finally, to strange attractors consisting of irregular unstable trajectories. On the complicated equilibria sets, the methods of Lyapunov stability theory are transferred. They are combined with stability techniques specially elaborated for such sets. The results are formulated as frequency-domain criteria. The methods connected with the theorems of existence of cycles and homoclinic orbits are developed. The estimates of Hausdorff dimensions of attractors are presented.

The main subject of the book is the "energy coupling membrane" which refers to inner membranes of intracellular organelles, for example, mitochondria and chloroplasts. Cellular cytoplasmic membranes where respiratory and photosynthetic energy transducers, as well as ion-transporting ATP-synthases (ATPases) are also part of this membrane. Microcavities are semiconductor, metal, or dielectric structures providing optical confinement in one, two or three dimensions. At the end of the 20th century, microcavities have attracted attention due to the discovery of a strong exciton-light coupling regime allowing for the formation of superposition light-matter quasiparticles: exciton-polaritons. In the following century several remarkable effects have been discovered in microcavities, including the Bose-Einstein condensation of exciton-polaritons, polariton lasing, superfluidity, optical spin Hall and spin Meissner effects, amongst other discoveries. Currently, polariton devices exploiting the bosonic stimulation effects at room temperature are being developed by laboratories across the world. The collective monograph is devoted to the study of trends in the development of modern Ukrainian society. The research uses an interdisciplinary approach, which allows analyzing various aspects of the development ofsocial processes in Ukraine and obtaining socially significant scientific results. The subject of Kostyantyn Levchuk's scientific interests is the study of the activities of public organizations of Ukraine in the first half of the 90s of the 20th century. The economic crisis contributed to the strengthening of the social vector in the activities of public organizations. Legislated social guarantees were not fully implemented, which prompted public organizations to use various forms and methods aimed at protecting vulnerable social strata in the context of the crisis. The practical and law-making activities of the most significant public organizations are analyzed: the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, organizations for the protection of the rights of veterans and victims of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Svitlana Bogatchuk's scientific research covers the period of Soviet collectivization of the Ukrainian countryside in 1932-1933, which became one of the most terrible pages of our history. The modern global practice of managing campaigns that have achieved significant economic success shows numerous examples of the application of planning one's own economic processes. On the other hand, as the analysis shows, when companies do not apply planning, they mostly face bankruptcy problems. With the development of market relations, the planning of economic processes at enterprises requires more and more attention. In our country, the first business plans appeared at the beginning of the 90s of the last century, however, with the development of the market economy and the spread of international cooperation, the need to develop a plan is becoming more urgent. Nowadays, planning is becoming a mandatory process, which is necessary to improve the methods of calculating the economic efficiency of management decisions and the feasibility of investment investments. Ancient Irrigation Systems in the Aral Sea Area, is the English translation of Boris Vasilevich Andrianov's work, Drevnie orositelnye sistemy priaralya , concerning the study of ancient irrigation systems and the settlement pattern in the historical region of Khorezm, south of the Aral Sea (Uzbekistan). This work holds a special place within the Soviet archaeological school because of the results obtained through a multidisciplinary approach combining aerial survey and fieldwork, surveys, and excavations. The volume is concerned exclusively with all the binary species formed between the elements silicon and fluorine such as SiF, SiF2, SiF3, SiF4, and Sif62-. Most of the volume, i.e. 144 pages, is devoted to the description of the well known physical and chemical properties of the SiF4 as well as to its preparation. This is followed in length by the report on SiF2 with its interesting chemistry, along with a section on the diatomic radical SiF. Species with fivefold and sixfold coordination of silicon are exemplified by SiF5- and by the well known SiF62-. Interestingly, the detailed models for describing the bonding situation in both ions are still a matter of discussion. While for Si2F6 most of the basic data are known, information on the chemical and physical properties of the higher members of the acylic perfluorosilanes, SinF2n+2, is scarce. All available information on the unstable cyclic perfluorosilanes of composition (SiF2)n and some even more exotic species is also included.
