By celebrity psychic Uri Geller, this simple, fun and visually attractive guide explains how to improve your life by unlocking your intuition and learning this ancient but effective divinatory art. Dowsing simply means searching for something by intuition. It's widely regarded as being a psychic method of looking for water, but it's so much more than that – you can dowse for everything from lost objects to the self-knowledge hidden in your subconscious – and this book will show you exactly how. All of us have intuition but in this modern world we have become disconnected from this ancient power. Uri Geller is famous around the world for his intuitive, paranormal powers, which range from bending spoons to astounding feats of dowsing, such as his location of huge offshore oil field on behalf of Mexico's national oil company (for which he was rewarded with Mexican citizenship). In this amazing book, he guides you step by step through the hidden world of dowsing that he knows so well. Simple exercises in the form of Uri mini-class activities, and fun games such as crystal hide-and-seek, teach the basic skills you need to dowse, whether you use divining rods, a pendulum, a forked twig or just your hands. The book then explains how to use these skills to find everything from lost objects to water, fossils, archaeological remains and even hidden treasure! Most importantly, Uri reveals how dowsing can help you unlock submerged thoughts and knowledge and evaluate vital choices in business, love and family life. Also including real-life case studies of amazing dowsing events, stories of celebrity dowsers through history and background explanation of the science of dowsing, this is a super accessible and fun guide to the most useful of the paranormal skills.
For 25 years, Uri Geller's world-famous ability to unleash the power of the mind has been the subject of public scrutiny, scientific experimentation, bestselling books, and controversy. Mindpower Kit is full of suggestions and techniques on how to activate more of the mind, ranging from strengthening will power to enhancing intuition.
Geller encourages his readers to discover how positive thinking can help to overcome obstacles; to find the secret mind switch that turns off stress; and how to supercharge one's will power.
Everyone can dowse. Like language, it's an innate ability that reveals itself as we learn. Conscious thought is merely a tiny percentage of what our brains do. Our incredible senses process far more information than ever breaks the surface of our minds... yet our bodies do react to this information, and by dowsing we can read those reactions. This unique dowsing kit from Uri Geller consists of a pair of L-shaped divining rods, a crystal pendulum, and a book which tells you exactly how to use these tools, as well as other techniques that need no special equipment, to dowse for water, lost objects... or even to dowse the sex of an unborn baby. Uri Geller explains how to perfect each technique and how to discover which works best in different situations. The book is full of dowsing games and entertaining interactive exercises - on the principle that we learn and remember best when we're having fun. Detailed practical instruction is given, addressing such questions as: Can the chances of dowsing successfully be increased by making special preparation? Can your mood affect the result? Can the presence of sceptics make dowsing less effective? As Uri Geller says in his introduction, "Although I've opted for a conventional organization, with basic skills at the front of the book and advanced techniques to follow, I've also planned the text so that readers can enjoy it the way I love to read books myself - by opening it anywhere and absorbing whatever I see.
An intriguing series of letters exchanged between Rabbi Schmuley Boteach and controversial paranormalist Uri Geller. The two correspondenets write in sharply contrasting styles: the rabbi is a straight-talking sceptic, while Geller is the fable-weaving product of a varied education.
In this text, one of the world's most controversial holy men and one of the world's most celebrated psychics bare their souls as they share their inner fears and their wisdom. This book contains a series of over 50 letters on an array of themes such as killing, money, parenthood and prayer.

In The Exegetical Terminology of Akkadian Commentaries Uri Gabbay offers the first detailed study of the well-developed set of technical terms found in ancient Mesopotamian commentaries. Understanding the hermeneutical function of these terms is essential for reconstructing the ancient Mesopotamian exegetical tradition. Using the exegetical terminology attested in the large corpus of Akkadian commentaries from the first millennium BCE, the book addresses the hermeneutics of the commentaries, investigates the scholastic environment in which they were composed, and considers the relationship between the terminology of commentaries and the divine authority of the texts they elucidate. The book concludes with a comparative study that traces links between the terminology used in Akkadian commentaries and that used in early Hebrew exegesis.
