Lance Longfall has everything going for him: brains, money, good looks and a promising future as a scientist. One fateful day in 1983, he meets Miranda Evans who will forever change his life. Fate, however, usually has a plan; even when it is tragic. To do this, Stephen and Lance will have to perform two of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of all time-but no one must know about it. As they race towards the future, beating time in the process, to complete their mission, someone from their past relentlessly pursues them which could hinder their success. Lance is obsessed. His only obstacles are inescapable demons from his past and the secret of the mysterious Red Moon.
What if fate had a design, a plan for certain people, to put forth in motion events that could change the world? What if one person could make a difference but didnt know it yet? What if imaginary friends were real? In the fall of 1957, little Ana Gromsnave mourned the loss of her mother and, during that period in her life, became acquainted with a visitor from her closet by the name of Nalapazoo, who just might answer some of those questionsquestions that could have an impact on Ana and those around her for the rest of their lives.

Long before it was the site of shopping centers, corporate headquarters, and universities, Troy was a humble pioneer settlement comprised of farms and small knots of buildings at simple crossroads known as Troy Corners, Big Beaver, and Halsey Corners. School bells, church socials, and harvesting seasons punctuated the simple country lives of early Troy residents. The establishment of the Detroit United Railway in 1898 brought new opportunities to Troy settlers, rattling up Livernois daily and transporting passengers, milk, and freight between Flint and Detroit. By the end of World War II, Troy was rapidly changing. Subdivisions replaced farms, the township was incorporated as the City of Troy, and gracious homes and new businesses quickly replaced the clusters of clapboard structures. This book utilizes the remarkable resources of the Troy Historical Society and the Troy Museum & Historic Village to document and celebrate Troy's development over the course of two centuries.
