After Trey was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2004, he started questioning reality and began reading books he hoped might shed light on the meaning of life. His research eventually led to the teachings on spiritual awakening (aka peace and happiness). He resonated deeply with these teachings and began absorbing countless books on the subject. Grace stepped in in 2007 and gave him a glimpse of what all of the books were pointing to-- the peace that is always present, just waiting to be noticed, "This needs to be shared with the world," was the feeling that fueled the writing which led to his first book, "A Seeker's guide to inner peace: notes to self." This book picks up at the beginning of 2012, where the first book leaves off, and spans nine years of writing. Much of Trey's writing is about how these teachings on enlightenment, non-duality, self-inquiry, presence, surrender, gratitude, meditation, etc., have influenced his daily life. He writes about his experiences as a new dad, the passing of loved ones, relationships, work life, conflict situations, pandemics, traffic and other "real world" challenges affecting human beings. Trey shows how all of it is an opportunity for peace to shine. Whether you are curious seeker or someone hell-bent on waking up, you will most likely resonate with the pointers, practices and essays in this book."--Back cover.
