Tom Hipps writes well on many subjects. He is quite adept at writing about nature; love; science; and social problems. Writer Bill Martin calls his love poetry "delicate and beautiful". Chuck Stone of the Philadelphia Inquirer describes his poetry as "absolutely marvelous". Sarah Jones, a close friend; says that Hipps book, Loving You is "wonderful" and she calls him a "true talent". The Child Within is a collection of poems that deal with the craft of writing poetry personalizing it more. Moon Wine is a selection of nature poems. Finally, Poetically Yours is more of a general collection of poetry.

And Raven Stull, a strikingly beautiful saloon girl, saw it as her chance of a lifetime. They, along with others, learned that killing somebody for money was not all they thought it would be. They overlooked the simple fact that Bud Haddok would require a mite more killing than most folks. TOM WHATLEY is a minister, a former Infantry Officer with the U.S. Army, and an avid outdoorsman. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and has a keen interest in the west and northwest. He lives in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Dynastic politics was not only as a transitory stage of state formation, part of elite cooperation, or a cultural construct. It needs to be approached through everyday practices that put ailing dynastic bodies front and center. In a period of intensifying political planning, it constituted one of the most important sites for changing the political itself.

A common source of failure in a human‐dependent barrier or safety critical task is a designed‐in mismatch error. The mismatch is a cognitive demand that exceeds the human capability to reliably and promptly respond to that demand given the plausible situations at that moment. Demand situations often include incomplete information, increased time pressures, and challenging environments. This book presents innovative solutions to reveal, prevent, and mitigate these and many other cognitive‐type errors in barriers and safety critical tasks. The comprehensive model and methodologies also provide insight into where and to what extent these barriers and task types may be significantly underspecified and the potential consequences. This title presents a new and comprehensive prototype design and lifecycle model specific to human‐dependent barriers and safety critical tasks. Designed to supplement current practice, the model is fully underpinned by cognitive ergonomics and cognitive science. The book also presents a compelling case for why a new global consensus standard specific to human‐dependent barriers is needed. Taking a novel approach, it presents its suggested basis, framing, and content. Both solutions seek to redress deficiencies in global regulations, standards, and practice. Though few realize it, the Netherlands East Indies were the object of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Likewise, their invasions of Guam, Wake Island and the Philippines were mainly diversionary operations to safeguard their main assault on Dutch and British colonies. Since the end of World War I, Japan had coveted the vast East Indies oil reserves, and the colony had feared invasion since Germany overran Holland in May 1940. Isolated politically the weakly defended archipelago was a tempting prize. The East Indies government initially maintained a strict policy of neutrality while desperately working to build up its military strength. As Japanese actions pushed the region toward war, the Dutch reluctantly embraced closer ties with America and Britain. For a brief period, the East Indies were key players in Pacific War strategy. This book details for the first time in English the Dutch prewar strategy, their efforts to counter Japanese espionage and their sizable though largely forgotten military contribution in the early months of the Pacific War.
