The Coronavirus (CV) Pandemic has affected all of us, in some way or another. Some of us have been diagnosed with Covid-19 and have survived. Some still have lingering symptoms. You might be what is currently called a Covid "Long-Hauler". Some have not survived. All of us, however, have been impacted psychologically and emotionally, even if we never were affected physically. If not dealt with, the Stress we now feel these days might develop into lingering Covid Mental Health Issues and/or Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). At the time of this writing, we are almost a year into this Pandemic. We are receiving conflicting information on the Pandemic, Politics, the Economy, and many other aspects of our daily living. All this is overwhelming, at least for me. Maybe for you too. Time will tell how this pandemic will linger on in our lives physically, mentally, and maybe even spiritually as the days, weeks, months, and years go on. This book might at least give you some ideas and/or resources for now and in the future, if needed. This book is probably not for those who are thriving in the current situations we are all in at this time. This book is more for those who are slogging through each day, just like me - learning to live "Just for Today".
It was hard writing this book, but I'm so glad I did. I've journaled for many years to help "sort myself out". I rarely share my journaling with others, since my thoughts and feelings are very private to me. The "Tough Times" I chose to write/journal about in this book were my experiences from 2015 to the Present – with the Political Turmoil, the Pandemic, and now with the Economy. I didn't realize I had so much in me, bottled up, over recent events – until I started writing. I am sharing "My Story" now, as an example of how I journal. In reading my book, you will get: A Brief Overview of Journaling, especially how I do it; "My Story" including My Personal "Advice to Self's" to get myself Through (and Out Of) Tough Times; 250 Writing Prompts to get you going on your Journaling; Internet Search String Examples for you to find your own Writing Prompts related to your specific "Tough Times", e.g. sickness, loss, worry, loneliness, etc.; Encouragement all the way along for you as you journal to get better and stay better. You might find, like I did, that if you "fix the insides", the "outsides" get better all on their own. I was going to title my book "What Just Happened? Is Happening Now, and Is Probably Going to Happen Again." – But that was just way too long. I like the title "How to Journal Through Tough Times" better. What do you think? I hope you find my book useful. If not, I sincerely wish you find what you're looking for.

The concept of living "just for today" is not new at all. This concept weaves in and out of history starting in the 1800s with songs, hymns, poems, essays, etc. This book builds on the concept of "Just for Today" for Personal Growth. In this book, I give you my Personal Guidelines on living that I try to have for myself. Life experiences have shaped the Guidelines I have today. My Guidelines give me perspective and guidance as my day and life go along. My Personal Living Guidelines were developed over many years, from various sources, and from much introspection. My Guidelines help me be the best me I want to be. Of course, these are just Guidelines and I adapt these to fit the day I'm living in. I also don't do all of them all the time every day. Usually, one or the other guideline will come to my mind as the day unfolds and reminds me of the person I want to be. These Guidelines will I'm sure change as my years go on - and I'll add some and maybe remove some. These guidelines also help me "Manage the Stressors" in my life which is the initial step in my own "Stress Management". I try to first "Manage My Stressors" then, if needed, use "Stress Management" techniques that seem to work well for me. One of my favorite Stress Management Tools is Deep Breathing for Relaxation. I've found that if I "Manage My Stressors" I don't have to do as much "Stress Management". Just writing these Guidelines in my own words has helped me image the person I want to be going forward. I hope you find some of these useful in your life, too.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. You should all know that by now. This is a dimension which began, on national television, with Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone. Here, Michigan horror writer Tom Sawyer (White Out) presents to you even further provocative and eerie tales as a follow-up to his first two collections in his series In Rod We Trust. Follow Mr. Sawyer, if you dare, into this dimension of imagination that knows no concepts of time or boundaries and beyond mystery and normal understanding or perception. Black Bed Sheet Books proudly presents In Rod We Trust Again.
Discover Tom's multiple exciting careers, from penciling and inking comic books at the age of twenty-two for Stan Lee, to top advertising illustrator, to award-winning filmmaker, and on through his Emmy and Edgar-nominated career in Hollywood to musical theatre and beyond.
A father (Tom) hears his son Richard say, “School is OK except I don’t like learning numbers or arithmetic.” After dinner, Tom sits with Richard and tells him a story of a kingdom long ago where the use of numbers is forbidden by King Kcaj and of the chaos that ensues because of it. As Tom’s story unfolds, he hopes to instill in Richard a sense of the importance of learning numbers, counting, and arithmetic along with other life lessons.
