An exhaustive cross-referencing tool for interpreting Scripture with Scripture. The Bible is its own best commentary. To truly understand what the Bible teaches about a subject, we must consult all of what the Bible itself says about it. The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge allows you to do just that, providing a selection of other verses which shed light upon, clarify, or explain the verse you are consulting. Unlike a concordance, which is an alphabetical index to the words of the Bible, the cross-references given in the New Treasury are not merely to the same word, but to the same or a related thought, theme, doctrine, subject, concept, or literary motif, even when expressed in entirely different words. Special Features: Indicates degree of clarity, significance, or relationship between references Can be used with any translation or edition of the Bible Is arranged like the Bible (divided into the same books, chapters, and verses) for ease of use Provides a far more complete selection of cross-references than can be found in any other source Contains dozens of special study aids to help you develop powerful lessons or sermons--straight from the Bible itself Contains multiple indexes (subjects, figures of speech, etc.) Uses Strong's numbering system Uses a new font that makes it easier to read than previous versions No combination of other Bible study tools quite duplicates the carefully-research and indexed content in The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. When used effectively, this invaluable resource will change your life.
The New York Times–bestselling author of The Millionaire Next Door reveals the spending and saving habits of financially successful women. Millionaire Women Next Door presents a variety of groundbreaking concepts involving the personality, lifestyle, motives, beliefs, and spending habits of economically successful American businesswomen. Most of these women report being raised in nurturing family environments. They were trained not only to succeed financially but also to be generous in giving to noble causes. Stanley asks, “How did these businesswomen become millionaires? They did it by doing more of the key activities and achieving better results than most of their male counterparts.” Praise for Thomas J. Stanley’s The Millionaire Mind “A very good book that deserves to be well read.” —The Wall Street Journal “Worth every cent . . . It’s an inspiration for anyone who has ever been told that he wasn’t smart enough or good enough.” —Associated Press “A high IQ isn’t necessarily an indicator of financial success . . . Stanley tells us that the typical millionaire had an average GPA and frugal spending habits—but good interpersonal skills.” —Entertainment Weekly “Ideas bigger than the next buck.” —Orlando Sentinel
After leaving his wife of three years, a thirty three year old Peter Mullan moves into a one hundred year old two family house. Peter soon learns that the house possesses spiritual forces as he begins to have flash backs and soon believes he is brought back to the neighborhood where he grew up as a child. Peter befriends Beth Russell, a shy sixteen year old girl living upstairs, who tells Peter that she must tend to her bedridden Mother. The young girl isn't what she seems to be, as Peter begins to realize and questions his own mental state. Peter has a nervous break down as he lives both his past and present life, and is brought to the psychiatric ward of the County Hospital, where Beth is also a patient. While all around him seems normal, a string of strange happenings and erotic dreams, Peter doesn't know what is real, dreams, or his imagination. Peter becomes a resident of a delusional world and is driven to the Edge Of Reality. www.thomasjh.com

The family drove all day. It was quiet for Dan in the truck but torturous for Ginny in the van. If she heard are we there yet? or how much longer? or is this Pennsylvania? just onemoretime. North and east they trekked to a place seen only once before...It was completely dark when the headlights caught a simple Department of Transportation sign, along a rural highway, that read Borough of Colsonburg. Were in Colsonburg, kids, Ginny cheered over her shoulder, exhausted but relieved. The children had, ironically, all fallen asleep. * * * * * * * Petes prayer was not eloquent or well-crafted but it was from his heart and he meant every word of iteven more than he was able to say in words. It got kind of quiet and finally both looked up at each other. They stayed quiet for a few more moments. Happy birthday, Peter, Pastor Dan finally greeted him. Huh? Pete wondered out loud. Today, right now, youve been bornagain. Happy birthday. Wow, I guess so. Pete let a slight grin escape along with a nod. Pete sat on that rock and watched the water go by. He thought how he somehow actually finally felt clean and fresh like that pure water. Everything looked the same and he was otherwise just Pete Archer but he also knew he was different now and that his life would be changed. Already it felt as if a gigantic weight had been lifted from him and indeed it had been. He prayed a little more, just letting his thoughts and feelings about it all go up to God. But eventually he had to leave. Walking back up the path everything was the same but at the same time everything was different. * * * * * * * but Ginny stayed seated, her head dropped, tears falling all the way to the floor. Then a warm presence was sensed on the pew beside her and a gentle hand was felt running across the backs of her shoulders and resting on her left arm. Joanies voice was heard whispering straight into Ginnys right ear, Ill go with you if you want me to. Ginny simply nodded and the two stood up in exact formation and made their way down the aisle to kneel at the rail. Immediately they were joined by Meredith Holt and Holly Corbin. Joanies hand never departed from Ginnys arm for even a fraction of a second. Rev. Lilly came down and knelt opposite the rail from the two ladies and inquired how he could pray for Ginny. Speaking in only half sentences, split by sobs and gasps, Ginny poured out the horror story of the last months, one tissue after another being plucked from the box always there at the ready. Oh sister, even Rev. Lilly was touched, you have come to the right place today! Ginny cried all over again when she stood and witnessed the gathering of friends also standing up behind where she had been. She also let a smile escape as she embraced Joanie, a sister in so many ways except biologically. Many other hugs were shared and the whole box of tissues was consumed. Only now did the congregation begin to depart. Beth was napping when her cell phone woke her that afternoon. The display said, Mom. Hey, she started cheerfully through a yawn. You got a few minutes, babe? her mom asked. You bet, Beth promised. Ginny related the whole accountBeth listened in stunned silence, tears coming down her cheeks. Satisfied her mother was done, she half-sobbed, half-laughed , thats wonderful, Mom. Just before leaving for the evening worship service, Beths phone rang again. This time the display said Sis. Patty and Beth talked and laughed and cried and thanked God together long enough that Beth missed the service. * * * * * * * Randy, the senior member of the officerless crew said, Lets go. County, Engine 5-1 responding with three, Pete called on the radio and they joined the race to Colsonburg, sirens wailing. The radio was alive with reports from officers and orders to the many pieces of apparatus pouring into the boroughThe Colsonburg Fire Auxiliary members brought coffee and sandwiches to all the firefighters with bread, meat, and cheese donated by several store owners in the borough. * * * * * * * Pete stood next to her; he looked down at her and watched her for a moment. She was laughing with the rest, her smile wide and glowing. She looked up at him as she laughed and he smiled down at her. It was good to see her again and to see her so full of joy, despite everything she had been through. In his mind he traveled back to that horrid March day in Lewistown when she was so broken and lost; the contrast, what God had done, was so evident. The experience of seeing her that way also reminded him of just how far he had come since that life-altering August afternoon almost four and a half years ago. He had never been the same since. He simply looked at her and smiled as he said, Happy New Year! Happy New Year to you, Pete, she reciprocated, smiling up at him * * * * * * * Good night, he affirmed back over his shoulder. See you tomorrow evening, he added. See you then, she agreed before shutting the door behind her. After sitting on that step for a moment more, Pete stood up and walked to his truck. Once again he thanked God for everything He was doing in all their lives

The ARML (American Regions Math League) Power Contest is truly a unique competition in which a team of students is judged on its ability to discover a pattern, express the pattern in precise mathematical language, and provide a logical proof of its conjectures. Just as a team of students can be self-directed to solve each problem set, a teacher, math team coach, or math circle leader could take these ideas and questions and lead students into problem solving and mathematical discovery. This book contains thirty-seven interesting and engaging problem sets from the ARML Power Contests from 1994 to 2013. They are generally extensions of the high school mathematics classroom and often connect two remote areas of mathematics. Additionally, they provide meaningful problem situations for both the novice and the veteran mathlete. Thomas Kilkelly has been a mathematics teacher for forty-three years. During that time he has been awarded several teaching honors and has coached many math teams to state and national championships. He has always been an advocate for more discovery, integration, and problem solving in the mathematics classroom. In the interest of fostering a greater awareness and appreciation of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines and everyday life, MSRI and the AMS are publishing books in the Mathematical Circles Library series as a service to young people, their parents and teachers, and the mathematics profession. Titles in this series are co-published with the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI).

What even your doctor may not know about the real heart attack risk factors and what you can do to prevent heart disease now. You count your cholesterol, monitor your fat and sodium consumption, and get regular exercise. But consider these facts: Many people who have heart attacks have cholesterol counts below 200. Low-fat diets can actually raise the heart attack risk in some people. And the wrong kind of exercise can do your heart more harm than good. Now for the good news: You can do something about it, and this book shows you how. Recent research has revealed that the real risks are a combination of factors that you-and your doctor-may never have heard of, including the crucial differences between cholesterol types and much, much more. In The Heart Disease Breakthrough, Thomas Yannios, M.D., explains the state-of-the-art medical research and the science behind the latest breakthroughs in testing, diagnosis, nutrition, and exercise. And he presents a clear, easy-to-follow 10-step program for counteracting your individual risk factors and attaining optimum heart health. "For those seriously concerned a with preventing heart disease, this is your guide: detailed, current, strongly worded guidelines. Yannios. . . isn't interested in cushioning the facts or the remedies in a feel-good framework. . . . Guidelines are set out here involving diet, weight control, exercise, and medication. Yannios doesn't let readers off easily, but that doesn't mean he can't offer realistic help: for instance, practically every cardiac risk factor can be countered by exercise; it just has to be the right type of exercise. Heart disease prevention is among the fastest-advancing medical research areas, with new, often conflicting recommendations being published daily. For those at serious risk, this is an understandable, serious, and worthwhile approach." - Kirkus Reviews
