One hundred fifty Psalms written as a narrative for easy reading reveals secrets never before exposed within the Psalms. We notice how often Jesus appears in the Psalms without mentioning Him directly. Many mysteries within the Psalms have seldom been explored as is in this book by Dr. Tegenkamp, Th.D, boy preacher at the age 16, war veteran of 1963, evening University student earning three degrees in theology; his passion of life. This book serves as a wonderful daily devotional. Also, The Eternity Code serves as a very easy teaching tool in Bible study classes. The greatest pleasure in this read is the relationship as it introduces the reader to the Almighty assisting the reader in understanding the characters within the Psalms. Dozens of pastors have read this book with the comment, Once I began reading it I could not put it down. This is a book you will treasure for years to come, passing it down to your children and grandchildren I promise you will not be disappointed, Dr. Bob.
The Book of Daniel is among the most talked about books in the Old Testament—and by far the most difficult to understand. One reason is because a large portion of the book is written using prophetic symbols and language. To understand the Book of Daniel, you must understand these symbols and the language of prophecy—and also know about world history. Perhaps most importantly, however, you must have special guidance from the Holy Spirit. Clarence Duff, Th.D., Ph.D., a Bible teacher, author, pastor, and professor, makes the Book of Daniel accessible to a general audience, including students pursuing theological education, ordinary Christians, and even those uncertain about their faith. Even if you’re unfamiliar with biblical prophecy, this book will help you quickly come to appreciate its importance and benefits to the Christian life. In straightforward language, the author reveals the essential elements of the Book of Daniel. Get a firm grasp of what the Book of Daniel says, why it’s still relevant, and how it can help you understand unfolding events as you seek to live a better life in anticipation of the coming of Christ’s kingdom.
Romans is largely regarded as the theological standard among New Testament writings, as well as the clearest and most systematic presentation of Christian doctrine in all the Bible. Its influence on figures such as Augustine, Luther, and Calvin have been well documented, with Calvin referring to it as the singular key to understanding all of Scripture. In Shades of Grace, the first in his New Kingdom series, pastor and author Marc Simon offers both an original translation of Paul’s letter to the Romans, as well as a fresh commentary on the letter itself. His spirited approach to the Pauline corpus conveys both the depth and simplicity of Paul’s writing, and combines the author’s careful scholarship and spiritual insight with lucid commentary, background information, and explanatory notes on key terms used by Paul in his letters. The introduction to the commentary highlights the authorship, occasion, purpose, and contents of Romans, as well as Paul’s unique understanding of Israel’s God as the Father, Lord, and Spirit of creation. The author follows the introduction with a verse-by-verse exposition of the text, which is at once accessible to scholars, pastors, and students alike.
Within the pages of the Bible God has placed pictures of the promise that He made to Adam in Eden. This is the Gospel, the good news that a Savior would come and restore to man what the Devil had stolen. These pictures can be found beneath the surface of many of the events and personages of the Old Testament. The purpose of this book is to reveal these pictures and to move the reader beyond the historicity and morality of the Word of God, as important as those are, and to show that the Bible is a truly supernatural document without equal in the sacred texts of the world's religions. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2 "I found "His Hidden Glory" to be a very well written overview of the entire Bible in a fraction of the space. This work reflects years of diligent study by David Puffer." Dr. Dan Tyler, D.Min., president, International Seminary, Apopka, Florida. "This book really touched me personally. The insights of the Old Testament really shined light on the New Testament, bringing the Bible completely together. I never noticed how the Old Testament was really foretelling about the Messiah in the way this book explains it. Dr. Joe Kiray, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "I started to read this book and could not put it down. It's awesome to see how the Lord has given such incredible revelation of Himself and His truth encoded within His words. It's fascinating and yet at the same time it kind of blows your mind to think that the truth has always been there but only the Spirit can reveal it. That's why I love this book. It reminds me of how the Apostle Paul would present the revelations that God would show him about His Kingdom and then Paul would in turn explain them to his listeners. I thank God for this book and know that it will be a blessing to all who would read it." Theresa Sullivan, Pittsburgh Pa.
Welcome to Doing the Greater Work basic training. This book is designed to facilitate individual and group discussions on several ways to hone your mind and thought processes. Prior to Jesus beginning his public ministry, He performed the greater work within Himself. His preparation for public work serves as the building block of this book. How did Christ order His own mental and spiritual life? Well, Jesus declared that the words He spokeas well as the mighty acts He performedwere a direct result of His interaction with the Father. Although many believers focus primarily on the outer workings (i.e., healing, laying on of hands, etc.), this book does not. The challenges we face each day in doing the greater work is a lifelong process. We must be proven faithful to the Father before we can do the unprecedented exploits for the Kingdom of God. The apostle Paul encouraged his followers to let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). These words serve as a foundation for this book. Doing the Greater Work provides biblical models and practical examples that will help you develop a greater works mentality.
Decoding Jesus will forever change your view about Jesus! John Calvin (1509-1564) and Ellen G. White (1827-1915), though divergent in many ways, shared a pivotal common denominator: the Judeo-Christian Bible from Genesis to Revelation as a major template from which they reflected on the close connectedness, and radical difference of God, human beings, and the created environment. Calvin encountered a theological conundrum. He was unaware that one cannot hold on to the 16th-century Reformation of employing the biblical historical time-line from Genesis to Revelation (as a reflexive scheme on God’s four grand acts: creation, reconciliation [the cross/redemption], renewal [Pentecost/Holy Spirit] and fulfillment/end of time), whilst simultaneously embracing the classical first millennium Trinitarian view. Karl Barth, the great Swiss Reformed theologian of the early 20th century, was aware of Calvin’s conundrum. Barth resolved that the dogma of the Trinity is not found in the Bible, but should be used as a good dogma operating as the main starting pattern of one’s theology. How further can one go than Barth in giving the notion of the Trinity a biblical vote of no confidence? White treaded softly around the Trinity notion. Her vast ocean of voluminous writings is devoid of the word Trinity. She visited Switzerland, and having read Calvin’s doctrines, she most likely saw Calvin and the Reformation’s contradiction concerning the dogma of the Trinity, and wanted to avoid the same trap.
If there is a God, why did He allow man to fall? If God is omnipotent, why does He allow Satan to exist in his creation? If God is love, why does He threaten us with hell? Why can't God just make everything alright? These are a few of the provocative questions which are currently asked of Christianity. With his groundbreaking debut book, "WORKBOOK On The Plan Of God," author Pastor Larry B. Patrick, TH.D., offers a comprehensive theological response based on the essence of God. Through forty years of research and study, Dr. Patrick has discovered the answer to the all allusive mystery of sovereignty and freewill existing among all orders of sentient universal life as well as answers to many of Christian theology's biggest mysteries. As Romans 8:21 states, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.; Dr. Patrick boldly proclaims and affirms "Why" the Church is both the beginning and the end of God's plan for creation and why all of God's creation endowed with the freedom of choice earnestly awaits the eternal destiny of the manifest sons of God....
You became excited, delighted, and happy when you answered the phone. One of your friends said, "Hi, this is ......., and I've had you on my mind for several days. How are you? It thrilled your heart that someone "thought" about you. Somebody cared! They cared about you! They called! Now think about Jesus, that when he came here, YOU were on his mind, on the mind of Christ. Put your name in this sentence: "I, ......, was on the mind of Christ." Yes, ...., you were on the mind of Christ" That's awesome! That thought should thrill your very soul. Read this book and see how you fit in. The eternal mind of Christ was full; it included thoughts about obedience, integrity, wisdom, and much, much more, including life for you and me. This Book will help you see what it means to walk with him every day. After my first book was published in 2008, I felt pushed by the Holy Spirit to continue writing, to write something else. What came to mind, like a question, was, what was on the mind of Christ when he came to live with us? After considering several topics I believed could have been on his mind, it suddenly hit me that YOU were on his mind, and that what he said and did was done so that YOU could know him and serve him properly. Therefore came: YOU were on the mind of Christ. The title of my first book is: Unfold the Mystery of Daniel and Revelation.
This book is a combination tell all and self help. It reveals the story of Franklin who initially refused the call on his life by Our Lord. He was more interested in pursuing the world of business making money than heeding the call to serve the greatest business manager of all time. Consequently Our Lord dealt harshly with our writer to the point of his business career totally collapsing. The harder he strived to succeed the worse it became until, due to his stubbornness, he lost everything including home, car, furniture and credit. Simply put, the Holy Spirit lifted all grace pertaining to our writers ability produce income. Once Franklin heeded the Lords call his life immediately took on an affirmative role. Today Franklin helps to pull men from a shark infested sea of sin, sickness and disease versus hording money for his familys future. Our Lord promised Franklin that he would never see a dry day financially if he served the most high. God has proven himself too many times in the Alveys household for this statement to be untrue. You will find this book a most interesting read. It confirms how much power our Lord can produce upon those who decline his calling to include the tenderness he induces upon those who obey.
For centuries scientists and theologians have argued about the origin, structure, function, and purpose of the universe, with no end in sight. In the meantime, the average human being, when not overwhelmed by activities needed for mere survival, has wondered who we are, where we came from, and why we're here. Dr. Michael Bohley believes that the answers we seek are hiding in plain sight, available to anyone with a healthy brain, regardless of level of education or specialization in certain obscure fields of science, theology, or philosophy. The answers are to be found within the sphere of our beliefs and how they help to shape the world around us.
The theme of the book of Revelation is derived from its opening sentence: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” John, the beloved disciple, is the recipient of this revelation; but Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, is its author. The major corpus of this letter to the seven churches of Asia Minor has Jesus Christ as its principal subject. Christ’s message to the seven churches of the Apocalypse (Revelation) transcends the barriers of time and space. Whatever criticisms and commendations were pronounced upon the churches of Asia Minor, the same are applicable to all churches which presently dispense similar attitudes and characteristics. The message of the Apocalypse, while couched in visions and symbols and numbers, is simply this: the final judgment of God will be pronounced upon Satan and sin, and his redeemed children will be victorious over the power and dominion of Satan. It is my hope that you will be challenged to read and study about the seven churches in the book of Revelation. Utilize the bibliography as a guide to additional resources on the subject.

To be a good preacher requires skill, knowledge, compassion, humor, and insight. I was not a good preacher until I entered the US Navy in 1970. Once in the Navy, I had the opportunity to listen to a variety of Christian chaplains preach. The best preachers were the Methodists and the Southern Baptists. I asked some of them to explain to me their preaching styles and how they prepared a sermon. When you read my sermons, you should be able to discover the influences that the Southern Baptists and Methodists had on me. Choose Life should show you the Southern Baptist influence. Never Again-Lam Rot HaKol should show you the Methodist influence. Enjoy and learn!

This book is written with Christians in mind who have become discouraged and somewhat disillusioned with their present and past failures. They have heard of the failures of great men and women of the Bible. However, they only read about them as stories of God's awesome power. They did not comprehend that these biblical accounts were written to instruct us. More importantly, they are written to refresh our thinking that good people fall, but God's grace has provided a way for us to get back up. The great news is that we arise better, stronger, and so much wiser.
Closed minds will not want to read this book. Open minds will welcome it. Pastors may want to obtain copies to give to lay people who inquire about the controversy." —Dr. Robert L. Sumner, editor of The Biblical Evangelist "Dr. Joyner's new book, King James Only? Is the very best on this subject for the average person who has no knowledge of Greek and Hebrew." —Evangelist Gary R. Hudson, former editor of Baptist Biblical Heritage and founder of www.kjvonly.org "This book is a masterpiece. It is long overdue." —Rev. Paul Caulwell, Columbus, Ohio "Thank you for writing your book KING JAMES ONLY? I agree with you whole heartily and believe that you have done a very fine job in putting it together." —Dr. Donald R. Suttles, former vice president of Piedmont Baptist College. "A tremendous book." —Rev. Bill Bradley, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Kinston, North Carolina
In The Rapture: Biblical Fact or Man's Tradition, author Dr. Dena Stevens considers a subject called "rapture"-- pertaining to the end-times and embraced by many--to determine if it is actually taught in the Bible, or if it is only a tradition of men. The consequences of accepting or rejecting this doctrine are of such importance to the eternal, spiritual destiny of man that it is deserving of very close examination. Stevens goes back to the account at the beginning in Genesis, examining scriptural descriptions of God's divine plan for the world from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as His reasons for placing man on the earth in flesh bodies. She then takes an in-depth look into some of the areas that God's people have not understood and serves to clarify some questions we have often pondered, but for which we have found no real answers. Stevens examines future prophetic events of the end-times and man's role in them in order to answer the question of her study: is the rapture a doctrine taught in the Bible, or is it only a tradition that man has devised for his own comfort and salvation?
This book has the value of a commentary. A different kind of commentary; it uses the Old Testament verses as commentary on a New Testament verse. It is composed of New Testament verses found in the left hand column with Old Testament verses in the right hand column. Every quote from the Old Testament found in the New Testament is given. Plus, many O.T. verses are given to interpret the teaching(s) found in the New Testament verse. The context for the New Testament is the Old Testament. Old Testament verses are the schoolmaster. The O. T. verses should be used to interpret the N. T. verses. This book can be used as a devotional by reading portions daily then meditating on those Scriptures. This book is a great reference tool for writing sermons and Bible studies. There are untold gems to be gleaned by comparing the Old Testament and the New Testament! This is the way Jesus, Peter, Paul, etc. taught in the synagogues; they quoted from the O.T. giving N.T. application and meaning.
It is the focus of God to reconcile (2 Corinthians 5:19) the world to himself. I understand reconciliation is to bring back, to clear up differences between disagreeing parties. We look around today in our communities, cities, states, and nations, and we as believers witness the confusion among nonbelievers and some believers. In many instances, the confusion is identical in both camps--believers and nonbelievers alike. This should not be the case--confusion and distress should not control the emotions of the believer, for God gives the believer a peace of mind that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In this reading, the believer will be reintroduced, or in some cases, introduced to living this Christian life as Jesus our Lord and Savior meant us to live it. I pray the hands which touch this book will allow the Holy Spirit to guide them as each page is turned and the truth of God's word when read will revive, fill, restore the heart and mind of that believer.

Ephesians is the pinnacle of revelation to the church and the great prayer of Ephesians is the section upon which the Epistle draws its spiritual power. The prayer demonstrates to the church what the power of God is and why the church needs this power. It is here that the church discovers the strength of God and at the center of all is the Love of God. The love of God is explained in a simple and succinct manner in this section of the New Testament. The purpose of this book is to help you understand in a deeper way the truth of God’s Word as it is presented to the Christian believer. The Great Prayer of Ephesians is part two of a series on the epistle Ephesians. Part one delves into the seven doctrinal passages in Ephesians chapters one through three. The final part will present the seven practical treatises in the second half of the Epistle.
The purpose of this book is to help every believer reach his or her fullest potential of a “higher calling” while transforming, transitioning and finally reaching tranquility.
This book on First Timothy is from expository preaching sermons by Pastor D. A. Waite, Th.D., Ph.D. It brings to the mind of readers two things: (1)the meaning of the words in the verses and (2) the practical appliction of those words to the lives of both saved and lost people.
This book is a careful attempt to explore and “fill in the picture” of the eschatological puzzle using the entire Biblical Scripture cohesively within a conceptual framework of two peoples, Jew and Christian, who are His people of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31; Matt. 2:28) united under one Messiah as “one new man” (Eph. 2:15). Using solid hermeneutical practices, the author attempts to disprove some major aspects of the Pretribulational “Rapture” theory because it produces a distorted picture of future events regarding the relationship between Jews and Christians. She has organized prophetic past, present, and future events into a logical and coherent sequence that more closely resembles historical reality and God’s eternal plans. At the end, she highlights some of the similarities between Christian and Jewish eschatologies, and then describes the final outcome of God’s purposes with mankind while offering some suggestions as to what Christians can do as they await victoriously for the converging of both eschatologies and the fulfillment of all things.

Victory through Suffering talks about the ups and downs that believers face while traveling and navigating their daily lives, as well as teaching and leading others to Christ. During difficult times, one learns to reflect on oneself very deeply as well as how to go through rough times. Difficult times enable us to do God's will to love ourselves and others as well as to lean on his word to become stronger. When we are victorious, we can overcome any circumstances, as the Bible tells us that we are overcomers (1 John 5:4-5). We suffer when we resist the will of God, and we prevail when we obey his will.
Years ago my wife and I were part of a congregation that fell into the depths of spiritual deception and became cultic. The events of those days led to the ruin of many lives. Most shocking was the number of students from evangelical backgrounds who were so easily deceived. How did this happen? What were the spiritual principles involved that led to such a great tragedy? It is my conviction that the account of this congregation and the review of the principles involved in their deception will prevent the same thing from occurring elsewhere. May those who read this learn to guard themselves against the Dynamics of Spiritual Deception.
A study of the ?last times? or ?last days, ? in relation to the Second Coming of Christ, the Universal Resurrection, and the Last (final) Judgment. Church today is nothing like it was when I was growing up in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, during the 70s and 80s; and I understand that as times change, things change. One of the biggest changes that the church has gone through is the lack of commitment to its given mandate and ministries. There are so many distractions today that people tend to work God into their personal schedules, instead of working their schedules around God and His ministry. This book addresses the challenges and issues of the seven churches of Asia Minor in Revelation Chapters 2 and 3 and speaks how we can strive to be the church that Jesus is coming back to receive unto Himself.
