This history takes factual information provided by encyclopedias and other historical documents. Other reference material includes birth certificates, death certificates and census data which support the factual basis of this history. The war records and military history of individuals and their family members were also used in the determination of their contributions to the society in which they lived. Other research material included Wikipedia, Ancetry.com, wikitree.com, genealogy.com family bibles and my many brothers and sisters. Two directions of ancestry history were investigated to gain the most effective approach to the design of this history. First the genealogy of Amye Grenville was traced to her origin of Charlemagne. Her marriage to John Drake VI allowed further investigation into his ancestry. Both were thoroughly pursued with vigor to determine their origins over the last 1300 years. The investigation provided by Earl Drake combined with my efforts has provided this history for your enjoyment.
The History of the Wasinger Family and the Leikam Family and the Times They Lived is a genealogy study into the families that have married into the Drake family. This study is based on the families that married into the Earl Rothwell Drake family. This study includes the marriage of Earl Rothwell Drake to both Dorothy Leona Leikam and Wilma Munch Wasinger. The study traces their ancestry back to their origin in Russia and Germany. Particular interest and attention was focused on the Volga River region in Russia, where German immigrants founded their farming communities. The study takes into consideration the hardships they faced in migrating from Germany to Russia. It also identifies some of the political reasons that forced the German colonies to relocate to America from Russia. This book attempts to report the immigration of German-Russian families to Kansas and identifies the ships that they sailed on to immigrate to America. It describes world events that occurred during their lifetimes that had an effect on their existence. The study was developed from family data available to the author. It includes war records for selected individuals drafted into World War II. This study is a dedication to my family.

This study is based on the families that married into the Bettie Eileen Walker Drake family. This study includes the marriage of Merrill Clayton Drake to Bettie Eileen Walker. The Walker family study traces their ancestry back to their origin in England. The study takes into consideration the hardships they faced in migrating from England to the Virginia Colony. This book attempts to report the immigration of the Walker families and identifies the ships that they sailed on to immigrate to America. It describes world events that occurred during their lifetimes that had an effect on their existence. The study was developed from family data available to the author. Restitution is the second book in a series of Father Damien’s War and follows after “Sanctuary.” This book continues the life of Father Damien in Bergamo, Italy toward the end of World War II. He inherits the responsibilities of the underground leadership through the death of his best friend Mathew Gillespie. He attempts to reconcile his faith with the obligations of war in his struggle to protect his community. Members of his alliance are called on to destroy the supply headquarters at the Bergamo airfields controlled by the German army. Major Friedel escapes his captors and evades their pursuit across Italy into Switzerland. He is the German Officer who is also wanted for war crimes and is pursued by the allies. The German force he commanded under Colonel Anton Fahn had secretly hid artifacts and wealth plundered from the communities that they raided. The search for this wealth is complicated by the death of Colonel Fahn and his subordinates who hid the treasure. The discovery of this treasure marks the background for this story as good pursues evil for restitution.
The fourth book in the series Father Damiens War is Father Damiens Revenge that follows The Dark Society. This book continues the life of Father Damien in Florence, Italy, after the conclusion of World War II. Father Damien resigns from his position with the church after learning about the Vaticans involvement in the escape of war criminals through the rat lines established by Bishop Alois Hudal. Bishop Hudal had aided these war refugees in the acquisition of Red Cross Passports to foreign countries, including Argentina. John Damien goes undercover at the request of Robert Mudd, U S Army Counter Intelligence agent, in partnership with Rodolfo Siviero, secret agent of the Servizio Informazioni Militare headquartered in Florence, Italy. Alcide De Gasperi, President of the Council of Ministers, expands Rodolfos post-war involvement in the government by appointing him as Minister Plenipotentiary. Father Damiens involvement in the investigation at the Vatican College leads to a brutal beating at the direction of Bishop Hudal. Father Damien is determined to expose their operation and take out his revenge on all that support Bishop Hudal. Rodolfos recent marriage and honeymoon provides an opening for planning their attack on the college and expose the war criminals in hiding. Robert Mudd and his men stand ready to arrest those who are exposed by covert actions conducted by Father Damiens team. The plan and the operation are sanctioned by Lynda Alderman, second in command at the Florence headquarters. The team includes his list of associates Sgt. Wayne Fritzmeyer and Corp. Glen Rothgeb, and Sgt. Derrick Hodge and Corp. Charles Walker. The primary purpose of the mission is to expose and capture war criminals, and secondly, to locate and recover stolen art. John Damien, as a member of the Ministry Plenipotentiary, desires to expand their role of recovering looted art and artifacts to bringing war criminals to justice. His associates proclaim his intentions as Father Damiens War.

Father Damien is a Catholic priest at Saint Francis in Bergamo, Italy during World War II. He has witnessed the oppression and brutality that the German occupation has brought to his community. His primary concern is to shelter a handful of citizens who have sought sanctuary in his church. Among the elderly and unable to travel are seven young men who stay behind to protect their families. Father Damien and his force have the opportunity to confront Colonel Anton Fahn of the German regiment that attacked the sister city of Clusone to the north. They ransacked the village and have taken everything of value that they could carry on their way to Switzerland. Their detour to Bergamo to the south has disturbed his fellow officers. The Americans have landed in Genova, Italy just six hours to the south west of Bergamo and there is not much time left for the Germans to complete their thievery. Father Damien organizes the resistance to the German’s encroachment on their town and prays for deliverance by the Americans.

Rodolfo accepts his appointment as an endorsement to his calling and immediately seeks to add his American allies to his list of associates which includes Sergeant Wayne Fritzmeyer and Corporal Glen Rothgeb. Rodolfo invites Sergeant Derrick Hodge and Corporal Charles Walker to join him in his newly endorsed mission as Minister Plenipotentiary to locate and acquire stolen art. Both Derrick Hodge and Charles Walker accept their appointments to the Ministry and arrive in Florence to begin their involvement in the hunt for plundered treasures across the globe. John Damien as a member of the Ministry Plenipotentiary desires to expand their role of recovering looted art and artifacts to bringing war criminals to justice. His associates proclaim his intentions as Father Damien’s War.
