Cléo is a younge writer, with many dreams, whi lives in a right life with her groom where everything is in its own place. But she wants to get married and for this she agrees with a unexpected condition: a deal in which both of them should be one month separated for having new experiences. And that is how she, even against her wishes, ends up in Las Vegas with her friends for her "extended bachelorette party". Her own desire is making the time pass faster and so, she can come back to her relationship. However, Cléo's plans are frightened when she meets Douglas, a tall guy with black hair and eyes and owner of the most beautiful smile she had ever seen. Cléo's life changes completely when she wakes up after a funny night and discover that she is married with Douglas. She cannot remember everything that happened and now she needs to run againt time for getting divorced and come back to home in time to recover her relationship with John. But, the things are not as they used to be before. Cléo and Douglas will live big adventures while they need waiting the divorce. Involved by their new feelings which came from this relation, they need to choose between forgetting the past and allow them to live this love or forget this adventure and return to their lives. Douglas knows what he wants, but Cléo has fear of allowing herself to this change. Married. And now? It is a surprising romance in which the reality is not exactly what it demonstrates. You come on too in this amazing adventure through Las Vegas.

When the Soviet Union collapsed universities were freed from state control and left to themselves. This forced universities to be much more market-oriented. This book explores this transformation from the end of the Soviet Union until the present. Based on extensive original research, the book charts the struggles of universities, showing how chaos and decline came to what had been one of the triumphs of the Soviet Union - a higher education system which provided a high standard of advanced education to large numbers of people and made major research achievements. The book shows how a lack of funds, lack of commercial experience and the ending of former means of support such as strong university-state industry links brought about huge disruption; how universities responded with a range of measures such as charging for tutoring and examinations, handling research on a commercial basis and new forms of co-operation; and how all this impacted on subjects of study and on underlying ideas about what a university is for. The book argues that the shock to the system in Russia was so severe that the Russian case serves as an excellent 'survival guide' to universities experiencing similar changes in other parts of the world. By investigating the phenomenon of Russian universities becoming more market-oriented the book contributes to developing further the marketization concept. It summarizes the existing knowledge in this field of study, offers a new framework for analysis of the phenomenon of university marketization and discusses the marketization of Russian universities in the light of comparative studies.

During the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, countless slaves from culturally diverse communities in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia journeyed to Mexico on the ships of the Manila Galleon. Upon arrival in Mexico, they were grouped together and categorized as chinos. Their experience illustrates the interconnectedness of Spain's colonies and the reach of the crown, which brought people together from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe in a historically unprecedented way. In time, chinos in Mexico came to be treated under the law as Indians, becoming indigenous vassals of the Spanish crown after 1672. The implications of this legal change were enormous: as Indians, rather than chinos, they could no longer be held as slaves. Tatiana Seijas tracks chinos' complex journey from the slave market in Manila to the streets of Mexico City, and from bondage to liberty. In doing so, she challenges commonly held assumptions about the uniformity of the slave experience in the Americas.

This study aimed to design multifunctional high-temperature foamed and non-foamed geothermal well cement composites encompassing the following five advanced properties, by comparison with two geothermal well cement systems, Class G/silica flour and/or calcium aluminate phosphate: 1) TS resistance based on 500℃ or 600℃ heating-25℃ water quenching cycle tests; 2) compressive toughness; 3) protection of the CS against brine corrosion; 4) adherence of the cement to the CS and post-TS bond durability; 5) reduced acid-scale corrosion and erosion. Furthermore, we experimentally investigated set-controlling additives and their corresponding set-retarding chemistry.
