Over many years the Lord has taught me many different aspects of the Bible. It had been an awesome learning curve which I have put into Sermon form. Lots of people have been blessed over the years in what I have shared. I hope the readers of this book will be blessed by what the Lord has taught me.
My Mother was an Amazing Woman having been widowed four times, she always got on with her life no matter what she faced, and lived each day as it came. She often felt she had failed as a Mother During the war having to send us as children on an Evacation. In my eyes she never failed after all there is no such thing as a perfect Mother! Mum ws quite a Positive Woman and did the best she could in every aspect of her life. She always said, "Life is for Living" and she did that everyday of her life.
As a child Sylvia loved writing stories and Poems. Sylvia wrote a book from her Mother’s notes that she had written when she was 75. She was thrilled to read the finished book and it was something that she could pass onto her grandchildren and great grandchildren. This encouraged Sylvia to write a book of her own, it is always good to start at the beginning of life. The First Chapter covers the Second War World War from Sylvia as a child. Then Peace time to Sylvia and Margaret starting work at 14 years old. Then there was time in the Women’s Royal Navy known as Wrens. To Marriage family, Immigration a Christian Walk, Growing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Finishing with Poems given to me by the Lord Jesus Christ.
The poems were all given to me by Jesus Our Lord and savior. I have written poetry since I was a child during the World War II as we had no toys, dolls, etc. Writing poems and books were all I used to do.
The book is about the experience of a person when migrating to a new country, the story revolves around the time wherein I was migrating from England to Australia.
Sylvia having had two of her books published and would now like to see Brians book published that he wrote several years ago. Brian passed away in 2012, and he was always writing to Naval Magazines after serving in the Royal Navy for twenty-six years. I used to say that he swallowed the anchor. He talked all the time about the navy! Sylvia has taken notes from the book he wrote those many years ago with lots of corrections. I really enjoyed doing this book and so hope readers will enjoy it too!
William Leggett (1801–1839) was the intellectual leader of the laissez-faire wing of Jacksonian democracy. His diverse writings applied the principle of equal rights to liberty and property. These editorials maintain a historical and contemporary relevance. Lawrence H. White is Professor of Economics at the University of Georgia.
