The first book in a brand new series... Modern Living Legend, a modern-day twist on the tales of myths and legends of yonder years. Suedette Greenwood unexpectedly became Lady of Greenwood Manor fresh out of university three years ago. Up until recently, Suede had nestled into her responsibilities without fault, opened a tea shop in the village and signed a publishing deal, writing and illustrating children’s books. Life wasn’t quite how Suede had expected it to turn out; alas, whose life ever really does? As the autumn leaves doth change and fall, the world around Suedette becomes strange. It could affect us all... Modern Living Legend is an amalgamation of tales of Olde – told to the author as a child – and the mind of a true artist, who mixed the pallet of Myth, Legend, Ancestry and Magick to create a whole new world for all to see.

Did you know that . . . a soldier's biggest social blunder is called jack brew - making yourself a cuppa without making one for anyone else? That twitchers have an expression for a bird that can't be identified - LBJ (the letters stand for Little Brown Job)? Or that builders call plastering the ceiling doing Lionel Richie's dancefloor? Susie Dent does. Ever wondered why football managers all speak the same way, what a cabbie calls the Houses of Parliament, or how ticket inspectors discreetly request back-up? We are surrounded by hundreds of tribes, each speaking their own distinct slanguage of colourful words, jokes and phrases, honed through years of conversations on the battlefield, in A&E, backstage, or at ten-thousand feet in the air. Susie Dent has spent years interviewing hundreds of professionals, hobbyists and enthusiasts, and the result is an idiosyncratic phrasebook like no other. From the Freemason's handshake to the publican's banter, Dent's Modern Tribes takes us on a whirlwind tour of Britain, decoding its secret languages and, in the process, finds out what really makes us all tick.
This book provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the notion of fractal time, starting from scratch with a philosophical and perceptual puzzle. How subjective duration varies, depending on the way we embed current content into contexts, is explained. The complexity of our temporal perspective depends on the number of nestings performed, i.e. on the number of contexts taken into account. This temporal contextualization is described against the background of the notion of fractal time. Our temporal interface, the Now, is portrayed as a fractal structure which arises from the distribution of content and contexts in two dimensions: the length and the depth of time. The leitmotif of the book is the notion of simultaneity, which determines the temporal structure of our interfaces. Recent research results are described which present and discuss a number of distorted temporal perspectives. It is suggested that dynamical diseases arise from unsuccessful nesting attempts, i.e. from failed contextualization. Successful nesting, by contrast, manifests itself in a "win-win handshake" between the observer-participant and his chosen context. The answer as to why a watched kettle never boils has repercussions in many a discipline. It would be of immense interest to anyone who works in the fields of cognitive and complexity sciences, psychology and the neurosciences, social medicine, philosophy and the arts.
This collection of poetry--birthed from life experiences and given by divine revelation--demonstrates the awesome power and anointing of God and offers encouragement to those experiencing trials and trying times. (Motivation)
One Word Can Inspire Unending Gratitude There is power in words. The words we read and the words we speak. Power to build and power to destroy. One word—just one—is all it takes to turn a day around. Just one word is all it takes to set your mind on the never-ending power of God’s work in your life. In these delightful meditations, Susie Crosby draws out one unexpected word from a daily Scripture verse—words like “steep,” “roomy,” and “multiply.” As she explores each theme, she shows you a mighty God who is there for you, who calls you to live, and who you can invite into your day with just one word. Here you will find a simple and heartfelt recipe for keeping your eyes on Jesus throughout your week. Uncover a wealth of spiritual insight in just one word!

Given everything that has happened to me over the last four years or so it is a miracle this book has been written. I guess that is a testament to my wonderful spirit team. The book contains an overview of some of the many different subjects that come under the heading of Spiritualism. It is the biggest and best book that I have ever done and I believe is good value for money as the knowledge it holds is significant. We are all at different points in our Spiritual development and understanding, what is easy for one person to understand is not necessarily easy for others. So, within this book, I hope that there will be some knowledge for every one of you. This, we (my team and I) hope, will either place you on the pathway, or will help you to move further along your pathway to be nearer to The True Source of all knowledge, all love and all light. The Source is known by many names, God, Great Spirit, Supreme Being, Jehovah, The Creator, Allah, Wakan Tanka, Elohim, Cosmic Consciousness, The Divine, The Force, Krishna, etc. He has many willing and loving Souls that serve him both in the Spirit World/Heaven as well as here on the Earth. The place we go to when this life ends again is known by many names Happy Hunting Grounds, Heaven, The Spirit World, Valhalla, Nirvana, Paradise etc. I, as always, have tried to make my books acceptable to all denominations. I believe there is some truth in all religions and beliefs and instead of focusing on what we do not agree on, maybe it is time to focus on what we do agree on and therefore build a better world for all our children. This book is purposefully non-denominational, so as I (we) can reach out to people of every religion, faith and belief. As God does not discriminate, neither do I (we) discriminate, so therefore why would my (our) books?
Captured By His Mercy...Transformed By His Love is a sequel to the book Words From The Inner Chamber. It was divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. Within its pages are quips and quotes that can be applied to our lives as we walk in the purpose and destiny God has planned for our lives. There are also poems of honor and appreciation for loved ones that have gone on before us. The Word says, "We are to give honor where honor is due". God is the "great rewarder" and has rewarded us with the privilege of having them in our lives. May this book be a blessing to all that read it and encourage you to seek His face. I pray you find that place in Him where you are Captured By His Mercy and Transformed By His Love. Susie Farina was born in Pleasantville, New Jersey. At the age of seven her family relocated to the East Greenbush, NY area, a little suburban town just outside of Albany. At the age of 15 she received the Lord as her personal Lord and Savior. It was then that she gave her heart to Him. She is married and has two children. She serves as an Administrator at the Solid Rock Church in Glenmont, New York. She is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The experiences she has encountered in life have caused her to seek after the Lord as He has Captured her heart By His Mercy and Transformed her away By His Love.
For those who have been disappointed when the "good life" let them down or discouraged by life's struggles, the goodness of God is trustworthy, life-giving, and everlasting. Jesus wants to lead you on a healing path to redeem your story and to make you whole. The words we say and the things we pray matter to God and to our health. Where we rest our gaze and how we think about God directly impacts the condition of our souls. Proverbs 14:30 states, "A heart at peace gives life to the body." God is well able to restore and renew us even when culture swirls around us. The world needs healing. But we can't impart what we don't possess. Scripture highlights the significance of 40 days as a kind of pilgrimage or spiritual journey toward a deeper dependence and reliance upon God. Science highlights how 40 days of practice (of a habit, a renewed thought, a healthy discipline, etc.) directly impacts our brain's structure and physiological health. Join best-selling author, popular radio host, and Bible teacher Susie Larson on a 40-day pilgrimage to explore God's invitation to flourish, heal, and know His peace in a way that changes us forever. Through this journey, readers will discover how to: Retrain their brains and renew their minds to notice God's goodness and to make that their default setting Revive their faith by immersing in God’s promises, saying and praying them more than ever Restore a right view of God's character based on His Word and stop drawing wrong conclusions about Him Redeem their story and renew their strength by following the Healer Do you still believe God is good? Do you believe He cares about the condition of your soul? And that He still answers prayer? Are you ready to position yourself on the path of His promises and see what He might do in and through you?

Freezers are one of the most useful––and most neglected––tools in the kitchen. Particularly great for those dark winter months when you want to get dinner on the table 15 minutes after you get home from work––think lasagna, stews, curries, and soups––freezers are also useful for entertaining friends when time is short. In Can I Freeze It? Susie Theodorou explains the tips, tricks, and rules of freezing food, from containers and wrappers (foil or Tupperware?), to the best methods for retaining moisture and flavor, to what ingredients and dishes can and can't be frozen. She provides a wealth of recipes, along with color photographs, for whole and part dishes. Some are completely pre–assembled (think chicken in a marinade) and then frozen and cooked later. Still others combine frozen ingredients with fresh ones–pair a pastry from the freezer with berries from the farm stand, or defrost a sauce and use it to top fish straight from the market. Can I Freeze It? is the ultimate guide to saving time and money in the kitchen.
