She would need on-going transfusions to stay alive. I am a Jehovah's Witness and accept the command in the Bible that prohibits the use of blood. My Search for a Clean Bill of Health starts in Canada, takes me into the United States, then on to Europe and most recently now to the Middle East. I have come to understand through my experience that courage is in fact the conquest of fear, not the absence of fear.

Matilda Gage (1826–1898) was a suffragist, a Native American rights activist and an abolitionist. Ida H. Harper (1851–1931) was a prominent figure in the United States women's suffrage movement. She was an American author, journalist and biographer of Susan B. Anthony.
