The third verse of “Silent Night” describes God’s interaction with us as being like “radiant beams from Thy holy face.” He’s constantly giving us amazing little touches that make a big difference in our lives. I call those “radiant beams” and put them into story form. Hope you like! When the solution to a problem drops out of nowhere . . . when you “hear” a still, small voice speaking to your heart . . . when a coincidence leaves you laughing and shaking your head . . . that’s God. Let’s celebrate the joy of living, blessed by the sweetness and love of the Light of the World. ~ Susan Darst Williams, Mount Laundry, Nebraska
Here’s senior humor from four writers who’ve teamed up as The Elderberries. They’re the funniest ones in the bunch, and their stories are a delight for all ages. The Elderberries share tips for caregivers, touching moments about widowhood, things NOT to do with tall ladders, and a new way to “shock the pool.” This is a great book to share with “oldies but goodies” everywhere.

There are many teaching skills and issues covered in initial teacher education which student PE teachers must apply to their own subject. However, the complexity of teaching PE can make this difficult to do. This book focuses, therefore, on the requirements of student PE teachers in relation to teaching skills and issues covered in initial teacher education courses. Throughout the book the theory underpinning those skills and issues is interlinked with tasks which can be undertaken alone, with another student or with a tutor. The book is designed to help student PE teachers to develop teaching skills, knowledge and understanding of the wider context of PE, along with the ability to reflect critically and to develop professional judgement.
