Hi, I am Ranjan, from a remote village in Bihar. Parting gift of Lalita was the beginning of my interest in the second gender. The interest became an obsession which continued. Biohydrogen (H2) production from renewable wastewater signifies a sustainable alternative to a fossil fuel-based economy. H2 is deemed to be the futuristic energy carrier with a high-energy yield. This chapter specifically addresses H2 production through wastewater remediation. Concern over pollution sources in integrated water and soil quality management has growing recently. The term “diffuse” essentially point to this feature of the discharge of such pollution loads which makes them somewhat difficult to notice, monitor or control. The focus has been on regulating the point source pollution load from urban and Industrial sources and non-point or diffuse load from agriculture, animal husbandry and rural sources were largely ignored in water quality management. Increasing use of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, perfumes, cosmetics, petrochemicals, harm aquatic life and human health.
