This book shows that identity studies in the discipline of International Relations (IR) generally cohere around two discrete understandings of being, substantialism and correlationism, and that their analytical, theoretical, and epistemological orientations are split along those lines. This binary opposition makes it difficult for identity scholarship to meet the internal validity standard of coherence while unnecessarily narrowing the theoretical lenses of constructivism in IR. The author argues that the best way to step outside that binary is to re-ground identity in ontology of immanence. The book shows that immanent ontological thinking enables us to have a pluralist epistemology and methodology for the study of identity, including both positivist and interpretivist orientations, without yielding a logically inconsistent alignment.

In Power and the Governance of Global Trade, Soo Yeon Kim analyzes the design, evolution, and economic impact of the global trade regime, focusing on the power politics that prevailed in the regime and shaped its distributive impact on global trade. Using documents now available from the archives of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), Kim examines the institutional origins and critical turning points in the evolution of the GATT, as well as preferences of the lesser powers of the developing world that were the subject of heated debate over the International Trade Organization (ITO), which failed to materialize.Using quantitative analysis, Kim assesses the impact of the global trade regime on international trade and finds that the rules of trade forged by the great powers resulted in a developmental divide, in which industrialized countries benefited from trade expansion but developing countries reaped far fewer gains. The findings indicate that a successful conclusion to the Doha Round of the World Trade Organization (WTO) is urgently needed to mitigate the developmental divide by increasing trade between the industrialized and developing worlds.Kim offers a timely reading of the GATT/WTO system as a way to think about how trade and globalization more broadly may be governed in this post-Cold War century, as the global economy contends with a new geopolitical configuration featuring rising powers from the developing world. Important trading nations such as China, India, and other emergent actors in the G-20 countries, Kim argues, reflect the new power politics that will shape the course of global trade governance in the years to come.

Hello, I\'m Shalom Min, the servant of Christ This book records the meditation of Ephesians and can be said to contain personal God\'s revelations and macroscopic and specific God\'s savior. As many of you know, Ephesians has a very deep and wide spiritual secret hidden. It is surprising that there are many recorded spirits of wisdom and revelation that I cannot reach when I look at the river of Ephesians, which has been unleashed by the masters of faith. I thought about reading as many reference books as I could and solving the words, but I stopped thinking about teaching someone and focused on capturing meditation with the Lord, and I will continue to go in this direction. Knowledge is said to be arrogant and love builds virtue. I pray that this brief meditation of mine will not be knowledgeable to myself, and I also pray that it will not be conveyed only through knowledge to someone. But what\'s clear is that it contains amazing secrets that can\'t come from my head and knowledge. I hope this meditation will be delivered to many saints and churches with God\'s love. What I\'m thankful for is that every time I meditate, I\'m always surprised to write with new emotions and new inspiration. Thank you to the Lord for allowing me this grace, who does not like to read books and has no talent for writing. Also, I can\'t help but mention the title of the book [One New Man]. This is a word that contains the entire story of Ephesians. I would like to introduce a new man, a new man in Christ, a new man who is set to fulfill all things in Christ\'s body, a new man who will achieve the kingdom of God and conquer the earth. What is clear is that we must be as new as the Lord desires. The recipient of Ephesians is not someone else, but we are the main characters. We are the church, the joy of God, who is the new man as long as the Lord wants so much. Through Ephesians\' meditation, I hope that many people will have a change in their thoughts about the church. Furthermore, in this era when even the church is controlled by the Corona Fendemics, I am sure that it will be an important inspiration to restore the importance of the church, its authority, and its nature. Then I\'ll meet you in heaven!

In this second edition, the process program SUPREM III has been added to Chapter 2. The device simulation program PISCES has replaced the program SIFCOD in Chapter 3. A three-dimensional parasitics simulator FCAP3 has been added to Chapter 4. It is clear that these programs or other programs with similar capabilities will be indispensible for VLSI/ULSI device developments. Part B of the book presents case studies, where the application of simu lation tools to solve VLSI device design problems is described in detail. The physics of the problems are illustrated with the aid of numerical simulations. Solutions to these problems are presented. Issues in state-of-the-art device development such as drain-induced barrier lowering, trench isolation, hot elec tron effects, device scaling and interconnect parasitics are discussed. In this second edition, two new chapters are added. Chapter 6 presents the methodol ogy and significance of benchmarking simulation programs, in this case the SUPREM III program. Chapter 13 describes a systematic approach to investi gate the sensitivity of device characteristics to process variations, as well as the trade-otIs between different device designs.
