A business’s greatest asset is the collective experience of its employees. According to estimates by the US Department of Labor, Millennials will represent roughly almost 50% of the workforce in less than 10 years. A flood of blogs, articles, and books are already trying to help professionals and executives understand how the clash of Millennial, Generation X, and Boomer preferences will impact their business and personal careers. The Multigenerational Sales Team focuses on the increasing need for sales organizations to more effectively leverage talent from generational groups who think, sell, and buy in vastly different ways. It addresses the challenges that many organizations are facing right now: How can generations with different perspectives find ways to successfully work together? How should you recruit, train, and deploy different generations of salespeople to build an effective sales team? How can sellers identify and address the generational “silent killers” within the sales process? You will learn how to overcome these obstacles by adjusting internal practices including recruitment, development, and management of salespeople. You will also learn how to improve client-facing activities for better diagnosis and accommodation of buyers’ preferences. With The Multigenerational Sales Team as a guide, sales professionals and teams who begin this transformation will learn to leverage each generation’s unique strengths to drive improvements in both individual and organizational performance.

Clementine Hunter (1887--1988) painted every day from the 1930s until several days before her death at age 101. As a cook and domestic servant at Louisiana's Melrose Plantation, she painted on hundreds of objects available around her -- glass snuff bottles, discarded roofing shingles, ironing boards -- as well as on canvas. She produced between five and ten thousand paintings, including her most ambitious work, the African House Murals. Scenes of cotton planting and harvesting, washdays, weddings, baptisms, funerals, Saturday night revelry, and zinnias depict experiences of everyday plantation life along the Cane River. More than a personal record of Hunter's life, her paintings also reflect the social, material, and cultural aspects of the area's larger African American community. Drawing on archival research, interviews, personal files, and a close relationship with the artist, Art Shiver and Tom Whitehead offer the first comprehensive biography of this self-taught painter, who attracted the attention of the world. Shiver and Whitehead trace Hunter's childhood, her encounters at Melrose with artists and writers, such as Alberta Kinsey and Lyle Saxon, and the role played by eccentric François Mignon, who encouraged and promoted her art. The authors include rare paintings and photographs to illustrate Hunter's creative process and discuss the evolution of her style. The book also highlights Hunter's impact on the modern art world and provides insight into a decades-long forgery operation that Tom Whitehead helped uncover. This recent attention reinforced the uniqueness of Hunter's art and confirmed her place in the international art community, which continues to be inspired by the life and work of Clementine Hunter.

This is the first extensive examination of the life of Ken Sumrall and his firm belief in the modern-day apostolic restoration movement. It presents Sumrall's journey from his Baptist beginnings, through his experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, through his learning struggles with Liberty Fellowship of Churches and Ministers, and into his birthing of Church Foundational Network. It represents Sumrall in his own light, while dealing with his paradigm changes concerning church government the heart of which revolved around the restoration of modern-day apostles. Godly government was grounded in godly relationships with one's apostle, whom Sumrall understood as a "spiritual father." For Sumrall, the best biblical government for the New Testament church today is a theocracy. Instead of a centralized, hierarchical church government, Sumrall advanced a decentralized network of churches connected relationally. This volume contains the major influences upon Sumrall's thinking and the progress of his comprehension of the life of the church as "family." Moreover, it engages some of the apprehensions that have surfaced over the present-day apostolic movement and provides insights of the direction and survivability of the movement.
