Goldilocks and the Three Bears is a nineteenth-century fairy tale, first written in 1837 by Robert Southey, an English poet. I have rewritten it with an updated twist and have penned it in rhyme to add to the pleasure of this cute little story of a brazen little girl who headed out through the woods, off the beaten path, in search of an adventure. Let me tell you about Goldilocks, this little girl did roam Deep in the woods, off the beaten path, a bit too far from home She set out on an adventure with no plan from the start Then broke some rules and went too far, which wasn't very smart She headed to the Bears domain and once it was in sight She helped herself to everything, though she knew it wasn't right Eventually the Bears returned I wouldn't want to be her A total stranger in their home, what will happen when they see her?
