Claire, an unconventional Guardian angel sent to save a sexy Brazilian-born painter from killing himself, discovers Daniel has been preyed upon by a powerful dark angel posing as his best friend and agent. Although successful in saving Daniel’s life, Claire is in danger of losing her own when attraction to her handsome charge blooms into a forbidden love. The dark angel offers her what she’s only dared to dream about—an eternity with Daniel. Will she sacrifice her soul, or sacrifice a lifetime with a man she knows she was created to love?
The Guardians Series A bundled world of Angels, Dark Angels and everything in between… This book contains my four first Guardian Angel romances, and is a four book saga starting with Claire, the precocious and curious Guardian who gets so close to the flame, her wings get scorched as she falls hard for Daniel, her explosive and brilliantly talented Brazilian painter charge. We follow the story of two additional main characters in Underworld Lover, Underworld Queen and Redemption. You’ll meet Father, who assigns missions, is enchanted with the stories of the world he’s created and never doubts the genius of the humans he delights in learning about and how they deal with the otherworldly Guardians and Dark Angels who try to help but sometimes prey upon them. From the first chapter in Heavenly Lover where Claire learns there is a cemetery in Heaven, to the conclusion of the saga (for now) where Joshua is tasked with the unthinkable, I hope you love the twists and turns and the colorful characters and worlds I’ve created. Writing these is a passion project for me. Never forget: Heaven was created by design. The Underworld was created by accident.

Foster carers, also called foster parents, invest invaluable time and energy in providing a safe home environment for foster children. Fostering is frothed with challenges of various kinds. Yet, generally, foster carers affirm that fostering is the most rewarding work. Putting You in the Picture: Foster Carers Speak is a small-scale research project that provides readers with insight into the foster-care experience as seen from selected foster carers’ perspectives. It highlights inspiring experiences of how foster carers are able to make positive, life-changing differences to foster children’s lives. The book also reports on participant foster carers’ views on the staying-put initiative and makes practical suggestions to social workers and local authority (LA) officials. These two groups, as well as teachers, head teachers, foster-care professionals and concerned citizens will find this book quite informative. It is clear from all the research conversations undertaken that fostering is a demanding work of selflessness and love.
Mann is only thirteen, yet he has already had to deal with more than most go through in a lifetime. His family is still reeling from the tragic shooting death of his little brother, Jason, each person coping with grief in his or her own way. Mann's mother has stopped eating and is obsessed with preserving Jason's memory, while his father is certain that presenting a hard edge is the only way to keep his remaining son from becoming a statistic. Mann used to paint and ride horseback, but now he's doing everything he can to escape his emotions: getting involved in fights at school, joyriding at midnight, and much worse. His father, at his wit's end, does the only thing he thinks will teach his son how to be a man he abandons him and his friend Kee Lee in the woods, leaving them to navigate their way home, alone.

At the turn of the 20th century, Sharon's very existence was threatened by the collapse of the local iron industry as the town's economy and population began to decline. However, the popularity of automobile transportation and Sharon's accessible distance from New York attracted a class of wealthy visitors who fell in love with the rolling hills and quiet valleys. This new weekend population purchased land and built stately country homes, reigniting interest in the area. Steady growth in construction provided much-needed work, and commerce began to thrive again. Early businesses expanded, and new operations opened. Local residents could shop at stores run by the Gillette brothers and A.R. Woodward, fill their tanks at Herman Middlebrook's gas station, and have their health care needs attended to by doctors at the state-of-the-art Sharon Hospital, built in 1916. Eastern Europeans became the town's newest residents, taking advantage of the affordable, cleared land to fuel a large number of highly successful farms. Sharon's residents thrived as they reshaped their town, welcoming newcomers and nurturing a community of inclusion that lasts to the present day.
