In a book titled The Holy Warning, the author stated the following words. \"The majority of Christians in this generation do not know what it means to be truly reborn. And there are far too many who claim to be reborn without actually being so. There are too many who still live in sin and the greed of this world yet think that they are born-again Christians. The responsibility for this lies largely on the false preachers. This is the great tragedy of this generation, a great danger.\" I can never forget the first time I preached the contents of this book, The Kingdom of Overcomers. Our church was very small at the time, but I was invited to speak at a rather large church led by the chairman of our presbytery. All those who heard the challenging message I gave were shocked, yet greatly blessed. A few days later, however, I received the following message from the presbytery chairman. “Pastor Byun, you have stolen the hearts of our church members with your one sermon. The members think very highly of you. What you have preached is right. It is the biblical truth. But who would keep coming out to church if you preach like that? Who would be left in our congregations?” I wasS shocked to see that a pastor could be so far from the truth. He was more concerned with how many members would attend his church than with the safety of the people’s souls. Sadly, there are more than a few of these pastors today. \"Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.\" (Matthew 9:36) This is how I honestly feel when I see the Church and Christians of this day and age. That is why I hurried to finish the manuscript for this book just a few hours after finishing another book,Christianity Alone is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.Christianity Alone was written to effectively evangelize to non-believers. This Kingdom of Overcomers, however, was written to awaken the nominal Christians in our churches and lead them to salvation. This current generation has darkened so much that it requires evangelism not only out in the world but also in the church. I thus hope that readers may utilize these two books to lead many souls to salvation. Lord, have mercy on the Church and Christians of this generation! Through this small book, would you awaken the nominal Christians that have become the majority in the Church! Save them Lord! I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen!
The Bible is a book dealing with the history of redemption. Therefore, the first thing we must know from the Bible is the doctrine of salvation. \"... and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation.\" (2 Timothy 3:15) Most people will think that they are well-acquainted with the gospel. But I wonder if that is actually true. Many years ago, the Holy Spirit spoke to Gary Whetstone when he was on a mission trip in Indonesia. While we were in that country, the Spirit of the Lord asked me, “What is your gospel?” I answered, “My gospel proclaims that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for the world.” Even though my response was not wrong, I sensed that God wanted to communicate to me something beyond what I was currently perceiving. “The good news doesn’t just tell about something,” the Spirit of the Lord said to me. “The good news is something. The good news is the power of God. ... I’ve given you good news, and that good news is the power of God.” This is exactly what Paul also mentions in Romans 1:16. Now imagine that the Holy Spirit had asked you the same question. Would you have responded that the gospel is the power of God (Rom 1:16)? There are very few believers—and even pastors and theologians—who would have answered that the gospel is power. This is because most people have a superficial understanding of the gospel and have not fully pierced through it properly. When I came to deeply understand the gospel, I found that this power pervades throughout the entire gospel. Just as how the blood of Jesus pervades the entire Bible, the power of God pervades the entire gospel. It is crucial to know this, and this is what we will now dive into in more detail.
“We were told if we pray, we can be transformed. If we seek God’s face, we can be transformed. If we reside in the Lord’s glory, we can be transformed. We believed those words and we desired God, sought after Him and pursued Him, but why hasn’t it worked?” “The Bible clearly says, ‘we all ... beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another,’ but why haven’t we seen this effect? Why is it that we can only suppress the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the boastful pride of life, but ultimately, are not able to overcome them? Whatever must we do to become overcomers? Is there even a way? If so, then how?” I have heard many sincere believers fall into despair, moaning, “prayer does not work,” or “seeking God does not work.” Then why is it that only some people, who have sought God’s face and spent time in His presence have been changed, but others, who, likewise took the same actions, have not been changed? And what kind of response do we give to these people? I want to share with you the revelation that the Lord gave to me regarding this topic.
There are three kinds of knowledge. The knowledge of the world, the knowledge of Scripture and the knowledge of God! The worthiest of these is the knowledge of God. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. (Philippians 3:8) Everything depends on this, including whether to gain eternal life or not (Joh. 17:3). I want to know God, not just simply to have the knowledge of Scripture. However, I didn’t really know God much although I was well versed in Scripture. I was always sorry and discontented about this. Then, recently, Bobby Conner, a world-renowned prophet, prophesied to me as follows. “You will continue to write many books. Next time, you will be writing a book about God’s glory and beauty. The revelation of God’s glory and beauty will be downloaded unto you. So, you will write about His glory and beauty.” [re-phrased] I’ve written over thirty books so far. However, a book dealing with the glory and beauty of God is a different matter. I had wanted to write a book on this subject from a long time ago. However, I couldn’t do so because I knew God only a little. So, when I was listening to the prophecy, I doubted, thinking ‘Will such a thing really happen? Will this be really possible?’ Then, on the week when I received the prophecy from Bobby Conner, I indeed learned many things about God. It got started as I read Roland Buck’s book, Angels on Assignment, and the knowledge of God came upon me throughout the time of Bobby Conner’s conferences. I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to preach and publish a book with this, repeatedly and very strongly. So, I have written a book which is this one. Thus, please read this book very carefully and make sure to digest it. Then, all of you, like me, will be transformed to ones who really love the Lord, from ones who desire to love the Lord.
One day, after I had finished preaching my Sunday sermon, the Holy Spirit suddenly gave to me the contents of this book. With it, I was to defend Christianity, and Christians were to use it to evangelize. I ended up using what I received as the conclusion for my book, Christianity Will Fall if the Bible is Shaken! However, while I was at a retreat after finishing that book, the Holy Spirit continued to polish and strengthen that conclusion and pressed me on to publish it as a book, share it with those around me to evangelize, and designate it as a textbook to be used by our power evangelism team to spread Christianity. I obeyed his persistent urge, and this book is the result. I obeyed the Holy Spirit. For this reason, I confidently believe that when this book is shared and the content is used to evangelize, it will help bring many people back to God. I praise our God who will use this book to save countless souls. Hallelujah! Amen!
