The Pure Religion: Pure Religion is based on a single article of faith, that is, God exists. God and Nature are 2 independent Realities. Our prayer: O lord I am alone in the world and except thou nobody is mine. O Lord, forgive my sins and save me from new sins. O Lord give me transcendent, mystical and noumenal knowledge. O Lord, guide me to the right path and keep us on the path of truth, justice, moral purity and charity altruism, peace. etc. O Lord, save me from illegitimate gains and pleasures O Lord, we will carry out a holy war against the unjust people, O Lord save us from a false belief in gods, angels, Jinn, Satan, Iblis, devil, resurrection of dead, soul, rebirth, miracles, prophets, fate, Freedom of Will, heaven, hell, incarnation of God in human form, idolatry, revelations, rebirth etc. Atheism and religious conflicts can be eliminated by the Pure Religion. parasharsarl@gmail.com

This book examines the intersection of caste and politics in North India and highlights its contribution to the anthropological study of democracy. It argues that the long-term process of internalization of democracy within the caste body has fundamentally changed the workings of the Indian party system. Drawing on an in-depth ethnographic case study of the Gujjars, a marginalized caste group in India, the book presents a systematic analysis of the political mobilization and culture of political participation of the Other Backward Classes to understand why and how certain caste groups have been more successful in politics than others. It discusses various key themes such as popular democracy and the politics of caste, regional politics and territoriality, myth, legends and heroes in the Gujjar community, the transition from lineage deities to caste deity, and the (re)formation of caste-community identity. It reveals the symbiotic relationships between religion and caste and shows how religion shapes contemporary caste. The book makes an important contribution to the study of marginalised groups and their politicization and fills a significant gap in the political sociology of India. It will be useful for scholars and researchers of sociology, history, exclusion studies, Dalit studies, political studies, history, social anthropology, and South Asian studies.

India, due to its geographical position, climate and geological setting is one of the most disaster prone countries of the world and has been experiencing natural disasters every year. Though whole of the country is more or less affected by common disasters, the impact of these disasters on rural population due to its physical, poor socio-economic and specific socio-cultural condition is comparatively more and long lasting. If we analyse the Indian rural society in the context of vulnerability, it is found to be much more vulnerable to natural disasters in comparison to its urban counterpart. The book, as indicated by its name aims to apprise the readers about the impact of natural disasters on rural society and its management. It contains seven chapters with an introduction giving details about disasters, types disaster management cycle and recent trend in dealing disasters. After discussing the disaster trend at world level and India, the book attempts to critically analyse the vulnerability of the country to various forms of disasters. The book gives detail of different factors influencing the vulnerability of different factors influencing the vulnerability of rural society to the natural calamities and problems and shortcomings of prevailing disaster management system. After critically analysing the rural disaster management situation, the book concludes that it is the sustainable rural development approach that can mitigate the disasters in rural India with a long-term perspective. The book suggests the role of PRIs, as implementing agency in managing disaster, in an effective manner in rural areas. The disaster management planning at village level and utility of management tools in disaster management planning is discussed in detail in the last chapter of the book.
