The great Deceiver is bound and the true King sits on the throne. In a world of near perfection, how can anything go wrong? Is life pure joy and delight or is it rules and regulations in submission to the King? Timothy has been entrusted to represent his family at the Feast of Tabernacles. There is no alternative-he must go-however, if he does not offer his sacrifice with a pure heart, his family will suffer the same dire consequences as those who don't send a representative. Will Timothy be able to offer his sacrifice appropriately or will his family suffer? As life unfolds for Timothy, Ross and other resurrected saints recall their previous lives on earth and the rewards they received from the King. Serving with Him in the Millennium has been an unbelievable blessing. Their job now is to guide Timothy on his journey. Will they make a difference? Will they be able to accomplish the task God has entrusted in their care? Can they show Timothy what true worship really is? Join Timothy on his journey to Jerusalem in a Quest for a True Heart.
Not all international nongovernmental organizations (INGOs) are created equal, Some have emerged as "leading INGOs" that command deference from various powerful audiences and are well-positioned to influence the practices of states, corporations, and other INGOs. Yet Sarah S. Stroup and Wendy H. Wong make a strong case for the tenuous nature of this position: in order to retain their authority, INGOs such as Greenpeace, Oxfam, and Amnesty International refrain from expressing radical opinions that severely damage their long-term reputation. Stroup and Wong contend such INGOs must constantly adjust their behavior to maintain a delicate equilibrium that preserves their status. Activists, scholars, and students seeking to understand how international organizations garner and conserve power—and how this affects their ability to fulfill their stated missions—will find much of value in The Authority Trap. The authors use case studies that illuminate how INGOs are received by three main audiences: NGO peers, state policymakers, and corporations. In the end, the authors argue, the more authority an INGO has, the more constrained is its ability to affect the conduct of world politics.

Must think happy thoughts. Julie Andrews dancing. Cadbury's chocolate Easter eggs. Obviously I'm not as cute and witty as I thought I was, since while I've been sitting around every weekend, he's been sleeping with half of Thailand. And then he found Someone Else. That someone not being me. I have been pathetic. But now I will date. I will become the queen of dating. I will forget all about him. Single in Boston, that's me. But not for long…!

The theory of mentalizing and epistemic trust introduced by Peter Fonagy and colleagues at the Anna Freud Centre has been an important perspective on mental health and illness. Mentalizing and Epistemic Trust is the first comprehensive account and evaluation of this perspective. The book explores twenty primary concepts that organize the contributions of Fonagy and colleagues: adaptation, aggression, the alien self, culture, disorganized attachment, epistemic trust, hypermentalizing, reflective function, the P factor, pretend mode, the primary unconscious, psychic equivalence, mental illness, mentalizing, mentalization-based therapy, non-mentalizing, the self, sexuality, the social environment, and teleological mode. The biographical and social context of the development of these ideas is examined. The book also specifies the current strengths and limitations of the theory of mentalizing and epistemic trust, with attention to the implications for both clinicians and researchers. This book will be of interest to historians of the human sciences, developmental psychologists, and clinicians interested in taking a broader perspective on psychological theory and concepts.
