Sam served four overseas tours in the U.S. Army. He served in the Military Police during two tours of South Korea and one tour in West Germany. Once he graduated U.S. Army CID school he returned to West Germany as a Special Agent. Courtesy of the US Army he also served stateside assignments in Arizona, Texas, Alabama and Georgia. Sam observed the very best and the very worst of the US Military. While in Frankfurt West Germany Sam was Team Chief of the most productive Narcotics Investigation (Drug Suppression Team) in Europe. However, when he was told that he would be taking over more more Narcotics Investigations as a CID Team Chief, he declined and left the US Army with numerous medals and awards. Sam no longer believed our current "War on Drugs" paradigm was productive. Our "Drug War" mentality prevents Law Enforcement from doing real "Harm Reduction" and causes more damage and harm than the actual illegal drug use.

IX International Congress for Microbiology discusses the genetic regulation of microbial metabolism. This book presents the recommendations and suggestions on the nomenclature and classification of viruses. Organized into eight parts encompassing 72 chapters, this compilation of papers starts with an overview of the genetic code, which expresses the relationship between nucleotide triplets in messenger RNA and amino acids in proteins. This text then discusses the two aspects of the regulation of the physiology of Escherichia coli. Other chapters explore the ergot alkaloids and examine the problem of ergot alkaloid production and biosynthesis. This book discusses as well the antibiotic inhibitors of protein synthesis that are major clinical drugs, including chloramphenicol, tetracycline, streptomycin, erythromycin, and other aminoglycosides. The final chapter deals with karyological investigation of the cells during transformation by Rous virus (RSV), which shows that these cells retain a diploid character. This book is a valuable resource for epidemiologists, microbiologists, and experts in infectious diseases.

Their goal is to gain an asymmetric advantage over the U.S. military. The implications for our national security are many and complex. Algorithms of Armageddon examines this most pressing security issue in a clear, insightful delivery by two experts. Authors George Galdorisi and Sam J. Tangredi are national security professionals who deal with AI on a day-to-day basis in their work in both the technical and policy arenas. Opening chapters explain the fundamentals of what constitutes big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. They investigate the convergence of AI with other technologies and how these systems will interact with humans. Critical to the issue is the manner by which AI is being developed and utilized by Russia and China. The central chapters of the work address the weaponizing of AI through interaction with other technologies, man-machine teaming, and autonomous weapons systems.
