The India China Youth Exchange programme was a new generation approach to strengthen bilateral relationships and mutual trust between India and China. It was launched in November 2006, when the first batch of 100 youth member delegates from both countries was reciprocally exchanged; this was continued in subsequent years. The long-term objective of the exchange was to promote people-to-people contacts between the two countries in order to boost the exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge on socio-economic, cultural and developmental aspects. The focus of this book is on the sixth batch of the exchange programme, held from 19th to 29th September 2011. This batch’s visit was considered to be the most historic event in the history of Indo-China diplomatic relations, which was also coincidentally organized on the eve of celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the People’s Republic of China. The visit was an eye-opener for the Indian delegates who were exposed to a rich and varied spectrum of China’s developmental activities, many of them unique and innovative. These included sports tourism, industrial tourism, the Chinese work ethic, their patriotism, their commitment to the environment and more. The author, an experienced youth development officer, who accompanied the 200 strong delegation to China in 2011, outlines his experiences. He strongly believes that we could learn a lot from China if we can implement many of their innovative schemes. This would help propel our economy on a rapid growth trajectory.

Amphibians are important components of ecosystems worldwide and are already being negatively affected by contemporary rapid changes in climate. Climate strongly affects the distribution, abundance, and ecology of amphibian species. Changes in climate will have impacts on amphibian biodiversity that are not uniform across the globe. We highlight geographic areas expected to have more climate change impacts to amphibians in order to target them for biological mitigation and conservation action. Although adaptation by amphibians to climate change is happening, it will generally be too slow to prevent many negative consequences that will likely happen in the next few decades. 1.1 INTRODUCTION: On August 15, 1947 India attained independence from the British domination. This gave the people of the country the fullest opportunity to mould their educational policy according to the nation. The independent India felt the great need of expansion of education. The newly formed National Government took active and sincere steps to make the elementary education free, universal and compulsory. The principle of compulsory education was declared through Article 45 of the constitution of India. Article 45 of the constitution of India has laid down that “The state shall endeavour to provide, within a period of ten years, from the commencement of the constitution, for free and compulsory education for all children until they complete the age of fourteen years.” It was also made clear that this education would be of basic type. On this basis, Board of National education was established. Our Government has been making vigorous efforts to expand compulsory primary education in all corners of the country. In spite of all the efforts made by the Central Government and State Government through various commissions and committees in this direction, a few children of the society have not been able to drive full advantage of the educational facilities given to them.

It also elaborates holistic theoretical modelling of tensile properties of such bionanocomposites with respect to the effect of contents of nanoclay fillers and epoxydised soybean oil (ESO).
